The Plan

Armin finally got home. He quickly got Maria out of the backseat. Holding her close, Armin ran in the house. "ANNIE? ANNIE ARE YOU HOME?!!!!!!!!" Armin called as he ran up the stairs, still holding onto Maria, making sure that he didn't hit her head on anything and she was still sleep. Annie burst out of their bedroom. "What is it?" Annie said briskly walking over to Armin, who was standing in the doorway. He was at a loss of words. Armin's eye kept darting from his daughter to his wife. "Baby, what's wrong.? Please tell me you're scaring me." Annie said grabbing Armin's face softly. "....Eren is out of jail." Armin said, tears flowing out his eyes and starting to drip down Annie's hands. "Oh my God. Oh my God. What do we do about Maria? How do we protect her?" Annie said crying, resting her forehead lightly on her daughter's. Armin stopped crying and lifted Annie's head. He kissed her and looked her straight her eyes. "I'm going to call Mikasa now. I'm going to prepare the panic room for you, Mikasa, and Maria afterwards." Armin said, handing their still sleeping child to Annie. "Wait what? You're not doing this alone. I will be by your side." Annie said, cradling Maria in one arm and grabbing Armin with her free hand. Armin just simply grabbed her hand and kiss it. "If anything happened to you or my baby girl, I would never forgive myself. Let me go down fighting." Armin said, letting go and running downstairs. Annie sighed sadly and turned around and went into the room. She laid Maria on the bed and went to her dresser. She pulled out a drawer and reached under it. She pulled out twin daggers and their holsters. She put the holsters on her waist and stored her daggers in them. (Quick little interlude. In this world it's not illegal to have any weapons in your house. For higher class weapons, have to go through extensive training to get a special permit. Okay back to the story.) Annie then went to Armin's dresser and did the same. She set them on the floor and grabbed a very large duffel bag out of the closet. Annie ran to Maria's room and grabbed all her baby clothes and formula and carried to her rooms in batches. She quickly and neatly put everything into the bag. Finally she pick up Armin daggers and holsters, place on top of the bag, and zipped up the bag. She slung it over shoulder and turned to the bed. She carefully grabbed Maria and went downstairs. Mikasa was there and had her sword brandished. She instantly put it away when she saw Annie. Mikasa quickly went to Annie and grabbed Maria. She walked to the wall opposite and put her hand on the wall.
