The Counter-Measures

Mikasa walked to the wall opposite of her and place her hand on it. A small, green scanning pad appeared. It scanned her hand twice and then a small red red laser shot out the wall to scan her eye. "Fingerprint and retinal scan complete. Welcome, Ms. Ackerman." a female computerized voice said. The wall in front of her slid open and a platform appeared. Mikasa stepped on it, held Maria close to her, and punched in a code on the keypad. The platform lit up in a light green light. Mikasa crouched down and pulled a lever. The platform started moving down, starting to pick up speed. The wall closed back and Armin looked at Annie. For a good five minutes there was a silence that threaten to choke them out from the heavy tension it produced. Finally, Armin said something. "Whatever happens in the next couple of days, I want you and Maria to live. Please go down to the panic room." Armin said, practically begging her to go. "The panic room is one and a half miles underground. It has enough food and supplies, along with weapons, to last for 50 years. Plus it's restocked every three months just to keep it fresh. Annie please go down there. I started this mess way back in high school. Now I want to end it." Armin said walking towards her. He grabbed her arms and looked her straight in the eyes with concern and sadness. "Armin, we're in this together. 'For better and for worse. Till death do you part.' That's what our vowels said. So I will support you 'in sickness and in health, rich or poor.' I love you too much to lose you. So I'm staying to help you fight." Annie said, grabbing Armin's hands. "Alright. Let's get to work." They, quickly, go to all the places where they hid weapons. In total it was five places. Finally, after everything was put into place, Annie called Mikasa and told her to come up to the surface. After twenty minutes of debriefing, Mikasa decided to stay there. 'Alpha Phase is now in play. Hope you're ready Yeager.' Armin thought as he cleaned and polished her daggers.
