"Yeah" Dinah shrugged "Hansen"
I chuckled nervously knowing exactly who she was. The woman whom I've invited for drinks in my living room is the sole reason why my boss has been such a giant pain in the ass for me for God knows how long.
Currently, I'm fighting the urge to switch my behavior and begin to act professionally, but right now she's not Ms. Hansen, she's Camila's friend and I shouldn't ruin their night with business talk.
"Nice name," I say trying to distract from my initial shocked reaction.
Dinah and Camila shared a confused look but they both shrugged it off as I went to get more wine. The night carried on in easy conversation and Dinah and Normani seemed to have a lot to talk about as everyone, except me, continued to drink.
Even though I am not going to talk about work I figured it would be a bad idea to accidentally overdrink in front of a client.
Eventually, Camila and I found ourselves sat beside one another on the couch as we eyed Dinah and Normani who were still on the living room table.
I became glad that I didn't speak up about Dinah being the infamous Hansen client when I saw how happy Camila was to have her friend back, not to mention Normani had a broken heart and business was probably the last thing on her mind.
At least, it seemed like she was heartbroken when she arrived.
Camila and I exchanged a look at the way we are witnessing Normani run her fingertips on Dinah's forearm from our safe distance on the couch.
"She gay?" I whisper to Camila.
The smaller girl shrugs letting me know she didn't have the answer to my question, but whether she is or not doesn't matter, because Dinah doesn't seem to by shying away from her touch, so that is all the answer we need.
A smirk lands on my lips at Normani's audacity to be hitting on a woman that looks like Dinah while she's wearing sweatpants.
Should I be taking notes? Because damn.
Though, since she arrived she has let down her hair and that is really all she needs. Normani is a natural beauty and the image of her in oversized clothing and sweatpants just makes her look adorable.
Normani and Dinah both look in our way and Camila and I quickly look in all directions of the room pretending that we weren't just looking at them but we knew we had gotten caught.
"Subtle," Normani says sarcastically as Camila and I try to hold back our laughter.
I stand up from the couch and shrug "Well" I say "It's getting late, you two are welcome to stay though" I assure them, though it wasn't really a question. Most everyone here has drank too much and I didn't want to let anyone leave.
I would walk Normani across the hall if she so desired but I had a feeling she would much rather stay with Dinah.
"Camila and I can share a bed and you guys can take Camila's room," I say gesturing down the hall that leads to what used to be the guest bedroom.
Truthfully, it's half past eleven and I don't plan on going to sleep anytime soon but, I have a tv in my room and I can't help but want to play matchmaker for Dinah and Normani. I just hope it works.
"Camz," I say, to get her to follow my lead.
She immediately catches what I'm trying to do and rises to her feet, but not before grasping a wine bottle that rested on a nearby table.
I notice her stumble backward when she stands up and I begin to wonder just how many wine glasses she had drank.
"Goodnight!" she announces with an overly dramatic wave before turning around and stumbling in the direction of my bedroom.
