5 Years Later

"Camz!" I yelled out "We're going to be late!"

From a distance, I heard a muffled "I'm coming" as I waited by the door and shook my head. I looked down at the time on the phone screen which read 1:03 pm, meaning we were supposed to be there three minutes ago.

I hear her heels begin to walk my way as they echo in our luxurious LA home. After leaving New York a year ago, I'm still getting used to the California lifestyle but I'm glad I didn't have to sell the penthouse. Since Camila's career keeps her constantly moving, especially between the two cities, it's beneficial to have a home in both places. Not to mention that having a home here means she would get to spend time with her sister since she and her family are residing in California

Camila rounds the corner and she reveals herself in a tight fitting black dress that has a slit almost up to her hip. I can't help but smile when I see how beautiful she looks. Almost instinctively, my eyes move to her left hand and notice the glimmering silver ring that rests on her finger. Every time I look at it, I can't help but think that marrying this woman was the best decision I ever made.

"Do I look fat?" she asks, looking down at her barely evident baby bump.

I scoff and shake my head but she continues talking before I can speak up

"Because I can change" she adds "We still have time and we said we weren't going to announce it yet if I ca-"

"Camila," I say cutting her off "We're already late, and you look perfect," I say

She offers me a small smile as she walks closer and places a soft kiss on my lips

"Thank you," she says softly "But-"

"Perfect" I assure her once more before opening the door.

With a chuckle, she finally caved in and grabbed her purse before making her way out of the door. Thankfully our destination is only about 15 minutes away but we are both well aware that we will still feel Dinah's wrath at our arrival.

It's been a little over five years since we met and I can't seem to wrap the idea around my head. We've been waiting for this moment for so long it almost doesn't feel like it's really happening.

The radio plays in a low volume as we make our way there though I wasn't really paying attention to it. That was until I heard my wife's name came through the speakers

"Coming up next on 102.7 Kiss FM is Grammy winner Camila Cabello!" Ryan Seacrest says excitedly "We're throwing it back to her first single with Can I Be Her" he announces "And in the next hour we will be debuting her newest sure-to-be-hit Serendipity"

Without a word needing to be exchanged Camila and I looked at one another and smiled. Since she released her first album her life has changed. Though, she insists it changed the moment we met but I still think she gives me far too much credit. She worked so hard for everything she's got.

Now, thanks to her and Alessia's songwriting genius her music was a success with both fans and critics. My best friend is the most wanted songwriter in the industry and my wife is on the top of the charts every time she releases an album. Four albums in five years might seem like a lot, and, truthfully, it is sometimes, but this is what she loves so it's worth it.

Camila Cabello is America's sweetheart and I couldn't be more proud.

"I know this is your building and all Jauregui but you could have had the decency of showing up on time," Dinah said as we walked up behind the building. There was a small collection of cars parked in the back of those who worked on the creation of what was constructed before us.
