Don't Forget To Breathe

Chapter 21

I don't know when it happened, but I wouldn't wish it any other way. 

My brain tries to pinpoint the exact moment it happened but I can't quite remember. It could have been the day we kissed for the first time, or maybe the day I first heard her sing. For all I know, it could have happened the day we met. 

All I know now is that I'm in love with her, and there is no going back. 

"You're very talented," she says to my soon-to-be girlfriend. At least that's what I hope 

"Thank you," Camila tells Eliza with an uncomfortable smile" 

She's not very good at receiving compliments but it was definitely a well deserved one. 

Right now, Camila is sitting on the couch with her guitar at hand singing Daughters by John Mayer with Jason, Ally's friend, who after dinner made his way up to the party. 

There are definitely more people here than I thought there would be but everyone seems to be having a good time and I can only hope it remains that way upon Alycia's arrival. Though I think I've concocted a plan where she won't have to interrupt tonight's activities but we'll see how it goes over. 

Alessia sat next to her new friend Dinah while they both watched Camila in awe. 

"You didn't tell me your girlfriend was so incredible," Alessia mentioned 

"Oh," Camila said, noticing Alessia's choice of words. I could see that she wanted to correct her and inform her that we're not girlfriends but I, on the other hand, wanted to somehow let Camila know I wanted her to be. 

"Well," I cut in before Camz could say anything "I wanted to keep her all to myself" I offered with a smile and a wink in Camila's direction

I saw Camila's cheeks turn a subtle shade of pink as she shifted her attention back to her guitar

Both Alessia and Dinah began to make gagging noises at my flirtatious actions towards Camila. 

"Oh, shut up," Normani cut in "Ya'll are just jealous cause you don't have a bae of your own" 

I chuckled as the two women feigned offense at her comment 

"Excuse you," Alessia began "You don't know my life" 

"We could have multiple bae's and you wouldn't even know" Dinah added  

Normani then raised her eyebrow at the blonde woman placing her hand on her hip

"Is that right?" she asked 

"I'm her bae," Alessia commented clearly unaware of the attraction between Dinah and Normani 

Dinah nodded with certainty, clearly not threatened by Normani's stance "She's my bae" she said almost defiantly 

Everyone else in the room seemed to be exchanging glances of panic, waiting to see what would happen. 

We all saw the moment the determination hit Normani's features. A smirk appeared on her lips as she slowly made her way over to the two women, her hips swaying from side to side as she stepped in front of Dinah. 

Before anyone knew what was happening the two women's lips were intertwined and after a few seconds of shock everyone in the room began to holler a mixture of "Aww's", "Get it's" and "Woo's" 

Once they parted we all saw Dinah's failed attempt at keeping her composure. 

Lord only knows what's happening with those two but it's becoming apparent Normani is determined to get over a certain Australian model.
