Chapter 23: A Mistake

I get into my stance as I ready to battle against Alexis. She doesn't even pull out a weapon as she gets into a stance. "Ready?" I ask her. She nods her head confidently in response. I then fly towards her and swing my right sword towards her. She simply pulls her right arm up and blocks the blade, causing me to bounce back from recoil. As I stumble back, she puts her palm up to my chest, and fires a blast of fire at me, flinging me away from her. I started to stand up, surprised at what I had witnessed. "Impressed? Or am I just too hot for ya?" She says with a cocky smirk. I fully stood up, and I flew back towards her. "Again? Really? That won't work again if it doesn't the first time." She said as I flew towards her. I swung towards her left with my sword, but just before I landed my attack, right when she rose her left hand, I teleported behind her, hit her hip, and sliced her in half. "Damnit Donald, you made another mistake?!" I hear voice say. I look around, and I see the shadow of someone standing atop a mountain behind Donald. She jumps down, and stares at the corpse of Alexis. "So what's this ones name?" She asks, turning towards Donald. "Alexis." He said, blankly, without emotion. "Ugh, and who the hell are you supposed to be?" She says as she looks at me with a stare. "My names Blue, and you are...?" I ask her. "Alexa. What you just fought was another one of Donald's 'experiments', and again, it was a failure." She says, shooting another glare at Donald. "Listen I tried this time, ok?!" He says, crossing his arms and looking away. "Whatever, I guess I'll take care of this guy." She says. She pulls out a long staff about two times the size of our bodies, using her magic to teleport it in her hands. I started to get into my stance, ready to fight. "Hey Donald when I'm finished with this guy wanna get a bite to eat? I'm hungry." She says, looking back at him. "Fine. But you're paying this time." He says. "Ugh, fine. You're no fun today, you know that?" She says to him, only to get a scoff in response. She rolls her eyes and turns around to face me, as she gets into a stance; she put her right foot in the front while bringing the left foot behind her, then putting the staff in a two-handed position, putting her right hand in front, and the left hand holding the back. "I'll try to make this quick, ok bud?" She says with a smug smile. "I won't let you take me out so easily." I said, staring her down. "Yeah huh, ok." She says as she rolls her eyes.
