Chapter 38: The Truth

After about ten minutes we arrived to the entrance of the Underground where Black and Chara were waiting for us. "Good job, Blue. To be honest, I didn't think you'd be able to do it." Black said with a smile. "Well it wasn't easy, but I was able to get it done." I replied to him. He extended his left hand and asked for me to hand over the relics. I nodded my head, and I started to hand them to him. Right before I handed the last one to him, a few familiar voices yelled at us "Stop!" The voice caught us off guard and I jolted back in surprise. I turned to see who it was, and who I saw surprised me. Donald, Alexa, Sans, Fanash, and Kutaru stood at the entrance to the cave. "Guys? What are you all doing here?" I asked them. They all ran down towards us, and Donald took the relic out of my hand. "Listen Blue, this monster isn't who you think it is." Donald said as he held the relic in his right hand. "I knew I saw his face from somewhere before. Blue, he's not your friend, he's-" before Donald could finish, Black dashed forwards and thrusted his right hand through Donald's chest. "Donald!" I heard Alexa scream. "That's enough lip from you." Black said as he took the relic back from Donald. Black removed his hand from Donald's chest, blood dripping from his fingertips as Donald fell to the ground, his body limp. I grasped the handle to my swords, my face filled with rage and drew them out as I charged at him. "Chara, take care of these pests." Black said as he turned around to walk away.

I went to slash at him with my left sword, but suddenly Chara appeared in front of me and block the attack with her knife. She went to kick me when our blades collided, so I jumped backwards to dodge it. "You're mine this time. I won't hold back anymore." She said as she pointed her knife at me. "blue, let us take care of her, you get black." Sans said to me. I turned to him and shook my head. "No, you guys aren't strong enough. I'll handle this, and Black." I told him. Sans sighed and nodded back. "fine. but be quick, we might not have much time." I nodded, turned to Chara and pointed my sword at her. "Come at me, then." I told her as we continued to stare each other down, waiting for one of us to make the first move.
