Chapter 36: The Semi-finals

The signal was sounded, and immediately we both charged at each other. She brought her left foot up and I threw a left punch. Our attack collided with such a force, it slightly shook the stage. We exchanged a glance and grinned at each other. Then she kept throwing kick after kick, moving towards me as she did so. I kept blocking each blow with an attack of my own. Then, I grabbed her left foot with my right hand after the fifth kick. I pulled her towards me and went to kick at her side. When the attack connected, I let go of her leg and she stumbled over to the side on one leg, trying to keep her balance. I then put my fists together and slammed down on her stomach, sending her to the ground with enough force to make her bounce upwards, coughing out spit when her back hit the ground. I then jumped up and tilted my body backwards, landing on the palms of my hands. I quickly bent my elbows to lower myself, brought my legs back far enough so my knees were below my chest, quickly made my elbows straight and straightened out my legs so the collided with her body. After this she was sent into the air. I quickly flew up to her and threw punches at her, each hit colliding with her body with more and more force. I then grabbed her face and threw her behind me, placing her back onto the ring. I flew back down and landed on the ring.

Slowly, she got back up. She stared at me with shock and surprise. She unwrapped her wings from her body. "And her I thought this was going to be boring." She said with a smile. Than put her left foot behind her right foot, brought her left hand up to her chest and made it into a fist, and her right hand out in front of her, the knuckles facing towards me. Guess she lied about the way she walked... I thought to myself. I got back into my fighting stance. "Ready?" I asked. She grinned back at me. "Ready as ever." She said. We then charged towards each other at a extremely high speed. When we reached each other we threw punches and kicks at each other so fast it seemed like they kept vanishing and reappearing whenever they collided for ten seconds. Finally, I moved out of the way before she could throw another punch. I did it so quickly that it threw her off guard. I grabbed the back of her neck and threw her up into the air slightly. I than grabbed her leg and threw her onto the ground as hard as I could. The impact was so large it made her bounce up slightly. I then lifted my leg up and slammed my foot onto her chest. Spit and blood flew out of her mouth when this happened. After this I grabbed the top of her head and tossed her up, then I brought my right foot up to my chest and slammed the bottom of my foot onto the top of her head, sending her flying out of the ring.

After the announcer said that I won, I walked over to Gale to help her up. When I helped her up, she thanked me for the fight and walked off into the lobby. I walked back into the winners room and sat down. "Geez, Blue, that was AWESOME!" Undyne said to me as she walked over. "Thanks Undyne." I said. Kutaru walked over to me as well. "I haven't seen strength like that in a long time." He said. "I can already tell that our fight will be a great one." "You're that confident you'll beat Undyne?" I asked. He just chuckled. After that his and Undyne's name was called for the next round. When they walked onto the stage, I noticed that Kutaru was holding back, while Undyne seemed to be doing the exact opposite. She was going to go all out. Huh, I guess Kutaru really is that confident. I thought to myself. Undyne got into a kickboxing stance, while Kutaru just stood there, hands down onto the sides of his cloak. Soon, the bell rang, announcing the round had begun.

Undyne charged forward and went to uppercut Kutaru with her left fist. Than, it happened so fast that I could barely see it, but I saw enough to tell me that Kutaru was going to be my strongest opponent so far. He used his right fist to punch Undyne in the gut so hard, she was sent flying off the stage with no chance of recovering from the attack fast enough to get back into the fight. Kutaru jumped off the stage after the announcer said he had won and helped Undyne up. "Jeez... what happened...?" She asked, holding her stomach and her head. "Go back to the lobby. You'll need the rest." Kutaru said. Undyne nodded and walked off into the lobby as Kutaru went back to the winners area with me.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen, we will be taking a break so that our finalists may rest up. This final match will be amazing!" The announcer said. Kutaru sat down over near the far corner of the room. I wasn't expecting him to be that fast... I need to think of a plan. I thought to myself. I looked over at the board and saw my name and Kutaru's, showing that we were, in fact, the finalists. It was getting me excited. The break would be three hours, and after those three hours, we would be called up to the stage to see who would win. I looked over at Kitaru and saw he was sitting with his legs and arms crossed with his eyes closed. I noticed that I did have wounds that hurt pretty badly when I touched them. I decided to lie down and rest so that my wounds would heal. Three hours... I will win this. I thought to myself as I closed my eyes to rest.
