Chapter Six: Surprise, Surprise

Ashley's POV
I was at school and just finished my sixth period. I was walking to the gaming room because the guys wanted to meet up after school.
When I arrived Conor was already there, trying to beat Franklin in a game.

"Hey guys!" I said walking into the room. No reply, they were so into the game.

I put my bag down on the table and checked my phone. While I was replying to a few messages, I sat down on the couch.

"What are you playing?" I asked after a while.

"We're not playing..." Conor paused "Because I just won, in your face Franklin!"

"It was still an honor playing against you, sir" Franklin said, trying not to sound too sad.

"Such a gracious winner you are, sweetie" I teased him.

"I know I am" Conor replied smiling. "Now, can I have a proper hello from you? I missed you today" He said and walked up to me.

He kissed me and hugged me. His arms around my waist and his head nestled in my neck. 

"You just saw me two periods ago" I replied laughing.

"But it was sooo long agoo" he whined with his head still buried in my neck.

"I missed you too babe" I said giggling. I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.

This boyfriend of mine is so clingy sometimes. I also remember one time I just went to get something from the store while he was waiting in the car. When I got back he hugged me so tight like I've been gone for ages. It's cute though, at least I know he likes me right?

Conor's POV
I was just holding Ash and hugging her because I haven't seen her for soo long. Well, actually for 2 classes but it still feels long. Hey I'm allowed to, she's my girlfriend now. 

Still hugging I suddenly heard
"Ew, get a room". Wendell.

Way to ruin the moment buddy. Ash and I broke of our hug. I did keep my arm draped around her shoulder.

"What do you want Wendell" Ashley asked slightly annoyed.

Wendell didn't even get to say anything since he was interrupted by someone yelling "Surpriseeee!"

Ashley and I exchanged a look of shock and confusion.

You remember Lika? Yeah, the girl who was our opponent one time and was horrible to us. And even worse, I dated that girl. What is she doing here?

"Lika, what are you doing here?" I asked suspiciously.

"I came to help you guys win. You seem like you could use some help here" she said.

"So what you want to join our team now? Didn't you want to destroy us a couple of months ago? And used the same strategy I might add" Ashley said.

"Yeah, if you put it that way it sounds horrible doesn't it? The truth is: before I lost that match I thought gaming was all about winning. I always played to win back then and never for fun. I want to do that now, but I don't know where"

I kinda feel bad for her. Maybe she really changed.

"Okay then, you can stay. But we're watching you, so don't try anything stupid" I said.

"Yes thank you. I won't let any of you down" Lika replied before running out of the room excitedly.

Ashley's POV
"Okay what just happened??" I turned to the guys to see that their faces were equally as confused as mine.

"I guess our nemesis doesn't want to be our nemesis anymore." Conor said.

"Do you think she's telling the truth?" Franklin asked.

"I guess we'll see." I said. "But I don't trust this.. Or her."

"Let's just bench her first. I don't trust this either. Besides, if she still wants to destroy us, time will tell what her intentions are." Conor said.

"Now come on, I didn't want to meet up if everyone is just slacking around. Grab your controllers!"

"Game on!" Wendell, Franklin and I said in unison.
