Chapter Fourteen: New Beginnings

Ashley's POV
So, yesterday we met this group of people. We had more in common than I thought, since we've never talked before. They have pretty impressive scores, not gonna lie. They came close to going to nationals like us. I recognized their usernames, but never thought they would be attending our school. I was impressed.

Well, since everyone was described vaguely yesterday, let me introduce them to you in detail. We have the unofficial leader of the group: Amy. A girl with brown hair and green eyes. Kinda tomboy, kinda not. She would be open to wearing a dress. Next up we have Kendall: blonde hair and blue eyes, loves wearing sneakers. Wears jeans all the time, but occasionally paired with girly blouses or tops. Last but not least we have Jess: the girly girl of the group. Shinny honey blonde hair and blue eyes. Wears lots of dresses and accessories. But don't let her looks fool you, she might be the best gamer of her squad.

For the boys we have Brian: brown hair, blue eyes and wears a lot of beanies. Has a very charming personality, can talk himself out of anything. Then we have Aiden: blonde hair, blue eyes. He's more the shy one of the group, but a pro in the tech stuff. Very helpful and fun to hang out with ones you get to know him. He secretly has a crush on Kendall.
Jason: the muscles of the group. He the gamer that can sit behind his computer for 5 hours but then goes to the gym for 3 hours afterwards. Looks very tuff but has a soft spot. Especially for Amy. These 2 have been dating for 8 months.

Okay, now you have officially met the new squad! Let's go back to the present. We were all together at the arcade, playing games & hanging out. We learned a lot of new gaming skills from each other, it was great. We played until 7:30 pm and decided to call it a day. We said goodbye to each other and me and Conor walked back to his place after that.

Conor's POV
"Hey, do you know what I just realized?" I asked.

"Tell me" Ash said.

"We get to spend a lot more time with each other now that it's almost summer break."

"Oh yeah, you're right! We should make a bucket list of places we wanna visit!"

"Yeah good idea babe! Why not start with you joining me on my trip to New York with my fam?."

"Really.. you wouldn't mind?" Ashley asked cautiously.

"Of course not, I mean, we are in a serious relationship now right. could be a good exercise for when we're married in the future." the last sentence came out of my mouth without me thinking about it. I hope it doesn't push her away.

Ashley looked shocked. "You really mean that? about the marriage part?"

"Well yeah.. I mean these past few months together have been amazing and you have been my best friend who stuck with me through so much. I can totally see us building a future together."

Ashley's POV
Conor just basically declared his love for me, is this even real? I didn't know he could be this cheesy.

"Conor I don't know what to say after all those sweet words.."

"Say you'll go with me to New York." He smiled.

"Well yeah, I'm not gonna say no after all that" I laughed.

"Baby you're so sweeeeeet" I jumped into his arms and hugged him very tightly.

Just as I was about to kiss him the doorbell rang upstairs. I threw my head back and groaned.

"Way to ruin the moment person in front of the door." Conor laughed and pecked me on the cheek. We walked to the door to see the person who had the best timing ever. Not.

Conor's POV
We opened the door to see Wendell and Franklin behind it.

"Hey.." they said awkwardly.

"Hi.." Me and Ash said simultaneously.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked.

"We just wanted to say we're sorry." Franklin started.

"Yeah, we were wrong. About Lika and trusting her, and about questioning you guys." Wendell continued.

They must be very sorry. I mean, Wendell is apologizing.

"Thanks guys, we appreciate that. And we're sorry if we ever gave you the impression that you're not valued enough in the team." Ash said.

"So.. We're good?" Franklin asked. "We're good." I said.

Ashley's POV
The guys stayed over and brainstormed with us about the videogame that we were developing. A game that was going to become really popular, but we didn't know this at the time. The boys and Ash stayed over for dinner. We decided to invite Amy and her squad over too, to introduce them to Wendell and Franklin. We had a lot of fun and decided to become one big team and join tournaments together. To wrap up the day we had a movie night, just like all the drama never happened.

I was kinda done with all the fights, Lika drama and stuff so I kinda made this a chapter where everything falls into place, with a dash of Cashley of course!
