Ashley's POV I had a great time with Conor and his parents. They seemed very comfortable around me, I felt like they were my own family. This makes me happy because it's usually a good sign when your boyfriend's parents like you.
I brought back some souvenirs for my parents. I bought my dad a key chain and my mom a big mug, since she likes drinking her coffee in those.
Oh and I can't forget my sister of course! And yes, it is the same sister I called a troll for wearing my shoes. (For the record, I was on my period back then and she was being annoying). Her name is Madison, but I always call her Madi. She's 3 years younger than me which would make her 14 and definitely hitting puberty.
That's probably why she's pushing my buttons all the time. I brought her a notebook. She loves writing, drawing and all that creative stuff. Okay enough backstory. My point is: she loved the gift and was glad I was back.
I was getting ready for school. I put on my go-to outfit: some jeans, ripped ones these time, a white tank and a blouse over that. I put my hair in a bun so it looks like I did some effort and went on to my make-up.

After getting ready I went downstairs to get some breakfast. My parents were in a good mood. They said it's because they're glad I'm back. I just laughed at how cute they were. After eating some cereal, I grabbed my bag and headed to school. Back to reality I thought.
Conor's POV Out of all of the days, the universe picks today for me to be extra early at school. My dad is the one that drives me to school before he heads to work.
Usually I'm not that early but my dad happens to be called in early today. It was 8 am when I was walking to my locker. Class doesn't start till 8:30. I sighed as I hung up my coat and grabbed my books for today. I was just hoping that Wendell, Franklin (or Leika) is not early too today. I'm just not ready to face all of this.
But, since today is my lucky day, I saw Wendell and Franklin walking on the courtyard.Great, now I'll have to face them on my own.
Just when I was about to give up hope I heard a familiar voice behind me laughing.
"Hahaha no way!" The voice said in disbelief.
My eyes widened and I turned around. My assumptions were right. It was Ashley, talking to Emily, our classmate.
I walked over to Ashley and just pulled her towards my locker, abruptly ending her conversation.
"Conor! That was so rude!" Ashley hissed as she looked apologetically Emily.
"I'm sorry, but the guys are walking outside." I said nervously.
"Well let's hope the drama won't unfold now, I'm too tired for that."
Ashley yawned as she walked to her locker, which was down the hall. She opened her locker and started putting her books in it.
I could hear their voices, moving into our direction. I decided to ignore it and just focus on Ash.
Ashley's POV I noticed Conor was nervous. I figured it was because of Wendell and Franklin. He is a guy that doesn't like confrontation in general. That's why I didn't discuss it that much when he dragged me away from Emily. He just doesn't want to face the other guys alone.
We were at my locker, where I'm just grabbing my books for the first 2 periods. I could hear Wendell and Franklin talking down the hall, their voices sounding closer to us. I was bracing myself for Wendell's trash talk, but all they did was just walk past us. They didn't even acknowledge our existence.
"Okay that was weird" I said.
"Hm, I actually expected worse." Conor added.
"Yeah, guess we'll see later today." I replied while I closed my locker.
We started the day with English class together. We had to pair up to write an essay. Of course, me and Conor paired up.
Our second class was social studies, with the other guys. We noticed odd stuff from the moment we walked into the classroom.
The guys weren't seating next to us anymore. Wendell and Franklin moved seats, to the other side of the room to be exact.
This continued all the way till lunch where they also sat at a completely different table. Me and Conor decided to leave it and see how long the guys were gonna ignore us.
We were eating lunch, just the two of us, when there was a group of people approaching us. It's a group that consists of 3 girls and 3 guys.
There was a girl with brown hair, (Amy), blonde hair (Kendall) and honey blonde hair (Jess).
From the guys, there was one wearing a beanie and a white shirt (Brian), one was wearing glasses and a sweater (Aiden) and one was wearing a checkered blouse (Jason).
(A/N: just describing the characters by appearance first. We'll go in depth later)
"Hi there.." The brunette girl in front of the group said. "My name is Amy. We heard about you winning the tournament, congratulations!"
"Thank you very much!" I replied smiling.
"Could we sit here with you?"
"Sure" I said and they all took a seat.
"Oh excuse me! How rude of me to not introduce my friends! These are Kendall, Jess, Brian, Aiden and Jason." She pointed to the others sitting at the table.
"We heard about the Leika drama.. We're so sorry that happened, you didn't deserve all that!" Kendall, a pretty blonde with blue eyes, started.
"Thank you.." Conor started. "But why do you come to us so suddenly?"
"Well we were secret gamers at first like you, and we've been following your progress in the past year. We're huge fans and it's so awesome to see what you have achieved so far!" The guy with the glasses (Aiden) said.
"When we heard the news we thought that we can't stay hidden anymore, we've got to support you!" The other guy, Brian added.
"We want to join your gaming club!" Jess, a preppy-looking girl said excitedly.
We talked for the rest of our lunch break. We decided to meet up tomorrow at the arcade to get to know each other better. This could turn out to be some sunshine in the rain. ____________________________________ YAAAYY I FINALLY updated. I'm so sorry it took so long. I had a really bad writers block so took me a while to make up this chapter.
Anyway, what do you think of a new squad entering the story? Would that make Wendell and Franklin notice Conor and Ash again? Or will it make things even worse? Stay tuned to find out! 💭
