16. Falling For Her

Shanaya POV:

I hurried with my steps and reached the infirmary. There was a huge commotion over there.

Yep no doubt they all have returned from the war.

Slowly I entered the infirmary and my body froze. My legs stuck at the current place.

"What the hell!!" I said lowly to myself.

The whole room was covered with wounded persons and blood. I can smell the blood and it almost suffocated me.

The medics were rushing here and there treating the wounded.

I heard a yelling voice so I snapped my head to the direction.

I turned my head at the medic, her name was Jenny, she was trying to apply the pressure on the patients wound and at the same time was yelling to another medic for help as she had to treat the wound too.

He was not able to come as he himself was occupied by some other wounded man.

"Tch" she cursed under her breath.

Applying some effort I take a step forward and reached there. I got down on my knee and put my hand on the cloth that she was using to apply pressure on the wound.

When she saw my hand over the cloth she immediately stood up grabbing the kit and started cleaning his wound using cotton not at all caring who is helping her.

And I didn't minded it at all. Instead I like the devotion she had for her work. She paid her complete attention on the patient ignoring the surrounding and it includes me too.

She was the one who took care of Izumi san. She always makes sure that Izumi san always takes her medicines.

She is a kind women. She is not a kunoichi but a very talented medic ninja.

And...

She is Hito's crush. I don't know if she knows or not. Hito had made me give him a promise that I will never speak to Jenny about it. And I keeping my promise never talked about it.

"Help me in bandaging him." She said removing the cloth still not looking at me.

"Yeah sure."

I helped her in bandaging the wound around the man's torso. We were done,  so now she looked up at me.

"Oh Shanaya." She said quite surprised by my presence.

"So finally you noticed me." I mocked raising a brow.

"Ahh sorry you know-" I cut her off in the mid sentence.

"There is no need for explanations. I understand. He was more important than me in that situation." I said the last sentence pointing at the patient.

"Yeah you are right." She said chuckling.

"Hey Jenny." Someone yelled and we snapped our attention to that direction.

"Come here quick. Chat later." She yelled again treating the patient.

"Ya ya coming." She gave me a smile and ran towards her.

"Shanaya" I heard a familiar and lovely voice.

So I turned back to look at the uchiha beauty standing there.

"What are you doing here?" She asked me placing a hand on her hip.

"Well my sleep got disturbed in the mid-night so I went out-" I stopped in the mid of the sentence as I noticed a wound on her right hand which was covered by a navy blue cloth.
