25. Taken Away

Shanaya POV:

I took a bite of the food and mentally moaned. It tastes so good. Maids here are really very skilled. They cook extremely delicious food.

It had been two days ever since that day. Madara came back late in the night. He told me that those men came as per their daimyo's request. He want them all to guard the palace during his son's marriage.

So Madara, Izuna, Kei and others went there. He hadn't talked to me about it. But his actions told me how much he wanted to do that. But it can't be helped. Our mood was ruined and of course he need to leave the next day.

"Umm Excuse me" Akasumi's voice broke me out of my thoughts.

"Yes dear what is it?" Izumi san spoke in her sweet and gentle voice.

"I want to make an announcement." She declared.

"Is it a good one or a bad one." I asked and she glared at me. "Good one" "Great".

"So what is it?" Tajima san asked.

"I am pregnant." She announced. We all just sat in silence trying to absorb the unexpected news we have just received.

"Are you sure?" Izumi san asked. "Yup I am. I have been getting some symptoms about it lately so I got myself checked in the morning and the result turned out to be positive. I really am pregnant." My eyes widened my joy.

"Congratulations Akasumi" I congratulated her. "Oh thank you" she said happily.

Izumi and Tajima san too congratulated her. "I want you all to be quiet and don't make it public. I want to tell Izuna first and then make the announcement."

"As per your wish we won't make the announcement public. Let Izuna and the others arrive." Tajima san spoke up. And to my greatest surprise in a soft tone. Izuna's death must have gotten into him.

"Thank you" she gave a cheerful reply.

After breakfast we both went to the river side. My dear rabbit fall asleep so I left him in the room. Gosh that rabbit.. He sleeps way too much..

"So you are happy about this aren't you." I started.

"About what?" She said clueless. Ahh idiot.

"About child you know."

"Oh about him." She placed a hand on her stomach. "Yes I am more than happy. I can't even explain how much excited I am."

"That's good to know. Hey wait you said him." I said a bit confused.

"I have a feeling it's going to be a boy." She said with a genuine lovely smile on her face.

"Mother's instinct, hn."

"As long as the baby is fine it doesn't matters if it's a boy or a girl. But I am having a feeling that there is my son in there."

"Mother's assumption never gets wrong."

"True"

"Oh and by the way what about Izuna."

"Hnn what do you mean?"

"I mean have you two planned for the child. Will he be ready to take the responsibility."

"Well we haven't really planned about it. But we have talked about it and hence I know he will be very happy to know that." She tightened her fists on her lap. "And he will sure as hell take the responsibility. After all it's his doing not to be able to keep his hands away from me."

I laughed at her sentence. "Ok ok calm Akasumi. I am sure Izuna will be happy. Why wouldn't he, there's his child after all." I said placing a hand on her stomach. It's the beginning of her pregnancy so there were no movements but I could feel the warmth. A smile spread through my lips.
