Chapter 21: Does He Love You?

If he truly loved you, you would not be second guessing how he feels. True love never wavers enough for you to consider the fact that he may not actually love you. If he loved you he would not be putting you in this position. He would not dare to do anything that could make you think about leaving him because of the fact that he would be afraid to lose you. He would be afraid of how different his life would be without you by his side. But be careful, don't mix up him loving you and his love for himself. You chasing him makes his ego bigger and your pride smaller and that is not love. Do not he assumes he loves you just because of the fact that he comes back after a fight. Never beg for him to come back after an argument. He needs to do it on his own and if he loves you he will. Do not beg because that gives him power. That shows him that he's your weakness and you cannot do that. You cannot let him be the thing you always come back to because in the end you will end up crushing yourself while he is loathing in his self-confidence.  He will love the power he has over you. He takes pride in the fact that he knows you will take him back because you love him and all he has to do is say the right thing. All he has to do is say a few words that mean nothing to him and everything to you. You question why he is so distant and you fall for the mound of excuses he sheds on you. Silly, Silly girl, he does not love you. You are wasting your time on someone who does not feel the same way. You care too much for someone who cares too little. But the worst part is that you are gonna realize one day, looking back, that you fought so hard for someone who was not even fighting for you. He was standing there watching as you fight for him and every time you thought you were close to getting him back he would laugh and you and take a few steps away from you. Until he decided that was bored with this game and lets you get him back. You gladly take him in with open arms. Now tell me why do you want that for yourself? Why do you still believe him when he says he loves you? He is hurting you with all the games he is playing but you do not care because he says sorry? I am sorry but that is not how this works. He cannot just say sorry and bam magically everything is okay again. That is not what love is. Someone who loves you would do anything they can to protect you from hurting. He should not be the source of your pain when you cry. He should be the one hugging you and telling you that it's gonna be okay. Silly girl not everybody is as good as you make them out to be. Next time I hope for your sake that you realize some people are not worth the pain.
