One of the first things I noticed about the room was the great big mirrors. There were mirrors on three sides of the room, and a pale hardwood floor. The wall closest to where we had walked in was white and made of little bricks. In blue letters across the middle, words said: Big Hit. The people in the room noticed our appearance.
"Ay!" One of the boys got up and slapped Namjoon on the back.
He grinned back, and I watched awkwardly as everyone greeted each other.
"Yah, Suga!" V said, then something in Korean.
Namjoon looked sideways at me. "Suga hasn't been in the dance studio all day. He's actually here instead of sleeping."
I nodded, looking up at all of them. Even though I didn't have a 'bias' or liked any of them enough to fangirl, standing in a mini forest of tall, handsome, talented men wasn't exactly the most comfortable way I'd expected to spend summer break. I was only five foot five. To be honest, I felt very short. And for another thing, I was in Korea.
"Bantang, meet our challange." Namjoon said in slow English.
"Annyeonghaseyo," I said. "Joneun Emma-imnida. Pangapsumnida."
I gave each of them a little nod. They smiled in a friendly way in return. I noticed that up close, they didn't all look the same. Jungkook, I think it was, had a little bunny smile, and Suga had smaller, sleepy eyes. They were easier to tell apart.
"Pangapsumnida." Jungkook said, looking a little awkward. "I am Jungkook."
I smiled at him, but inside my thoughts were rushing. Do I bow again? Do I shake hands? I just gave him a little nod, but he was already coming forward, hands extended. Before I knew it, he had shaken my hand and let go. Did they usually shake hands in Korea? I thought I was just supposed to bow.
Suga came forwards and shook my hand too. "I am Suga." He said.
Then a very tall, thin man walked up to me. He had very full lips that made him look very feminine. To be honest, they all looked pretty feminine. His hair was dark brown with yellowish highlights. He looked like an angel.
"My name is Jin." He said in a quiet voice.
I immediately assumed that Jin was the oldest. While everyone else was generally loud, Jin was quiet and calming. It was a nice change.
"Pangapsumnida." I said.
After the chatter died down, Jin turned to me. "How do you like Seoul?" He asked in broken english. Everyone else turned to look at me.
Were they excited to hear me speak proper english or something? I felt a little blush creep up into my cheeks. Ah, how embarrassing this was! I didn't want to act like a little fangirl!
"I feel like I'm surrounded by trees." I said, looking up at Jin, who was at least half a foot taller than me.
My comment had been completely stupid, one of the rambling things I said when I was flustered, but it invited a wave of laughs from the boys.
"Don't worry," Jungkook said. "At least Jiminie is not the shortest anymore."
Another wave of laughs overtook the group as Jimin sprinted after a fleeing Jungkook, fists balled tightly. Jimin pushed Jungkook up against the wall and shoved at his shoulders. I laughed as I saw how short Jimin was compared to Jungkook. Jungkook was supposed to be the youngest though, right?
