I went over and sat across from Jungkook, who didn't seem as flustered today as he had seemed yesterday. He didn't shy away or turn beet-red, so I assumed he had gotten over the worst of his sitting-closer-than-ten-feet-from-a-girl jitters. We stretched for maybe fifteen minutes as everyone arrived but Hoseok. I glanced around, and turned to Namjoon, who was finishing up his hamstring stretches.
"Did you guys get my text?"
"The one at two in the morning?" He answered. "Yes, I did."
I grinned at him, and then at Taehyung. "You guys all have really funny nicknames. 'Taehyung is Tae-Tae, I'm assuming... DestructionMon." I said. "Well, I guess you are pretty destructive, considering that you are capable of breaking a freaking doorknob!"
Taehyung laughed loudly. "Yes, and you call me oppa."
I huffed loudly through my nose. "Fine, oppa."
I caught Yoongi's expression in the mirror. He looked really amused, and I turned back to him, flustered and annoyed.
"What are you jealous?" I said, crossing my arms harder. "Do you want me to call you oppa too?"
I don't know what I expected; maybe for him to laugh and deny his jealousy, or to shrug it off and say nothing. What I didn't expect him to do was grin gummily at me and say: "Yes, please."
I was speechless. Namjoon laughed at me, patting my shoulder teasingly.
"Cat got your tongue?"
I frowned at him, finding my voice. "Cat'll get yours, claws out, if you don't stop teasing me!" I said loudly.
He chuckled, mildly amused, and answered: "I guess I'll have to lay off the tuna."
Jungkook was talking to someone across the room, whom I recognized as the dance instructor from the day before; the one that looked like a windmill when someone messed up. I bowed to him.
"Annyeong-haseyo."
He nodded at me and smiled, answering my greeting and then turned to the boys. He spoke to them, a long and completely Korean paragraph that I could not decypher. After he was done, he gestured towards me. Namjoon nodded and explained to me what the instructor had told them.
"We're going to do a new choreography, for one of our newer songs. We have a comeback in about four months, and we need to start practicing all of the choreographies. Since Hoseok isn't here, you can learn it in his place. He'll find some way to catch up. Then you'll have another lesson with Jungkook, and maybe Hoseok if he comes back. We've worked a bit on the choreography for the past few days, and we have a vague idea of what it's going go be like. Thankfully, or choreographer speaks English, so it'll take a bit of weight off your shoulders."
"Okay." I said, and then lined up with the boys.
The choreographer lined us up in a sort of pentagon shape. Then he began to go through the steps one by one with each of us. Apparently the others had helped come up with the choreography, so it wasn't entirely new to them. I did my best to remember Hoseok's part. He had a few more individual things, and I was mostly copying Jimin, who was in the front. We got through the intro, and the choreography turned up the music for us to dance to.
Nae pi ttam nunmul... Nae majimak chumeul da... I held my arm out and slowly looked up, then back down. Gajyeo ga~...I turned slightly left twice, and then took three steps forwards, bending at the waist, took three steps back and turned left twice again. Ga~... I bent lower and reached forwards dramatically, then popped back into place. Nae pi ttam nunmul... Jungkook and Jimin switched places, moving in a jerky motion, twitching their hands across their chest and waist. I copied them. I could do jerky. Jerky was my style. Nae chagaun sumeul da... I grabbed the bottom of my shirt and shifted my weight to the left, shaking my shirt a little as I went. Gajyeo ga~... This was a more disjointed section. I reached upwards to my right, while everyone else did something different, creating a V shape slowly decreasing in height. Ga~... We all stood still for a moment. Nae pi ttam nunmul. I squatted a little lower, my knees far apart above my feet and placed a hand near where my belt would be. I brought my hips forwards a little, bringing my arms over my eyes, and pushed my knees closer together about half an inch.
