This room had plain white walls and a rather ugly brown carpet. No offense to whoever designed this place, but their taste for carpets was seriously lacking. I sat down in one of those strangely comfortable chairs and crossed my legs. Yeesh, my new dance shoes were really stiff. They were sturdy like my tennis shoes back at home, but they were certainly different and more stylish. Namjoon got a couple of things out and started rapping softly under his breath.
Even though he was almost ten feet away from me, and rapping very softly, I could hear him clearly. Although he was rapping in Korean, I could tell he was extremely talented. And he wasn't rapping completely monotone, which was better than I could say for myself. We waited for about five minutes and Yoongi came in, carrying a small bag and sat down. I wondered where he had been, and he nodded at me.
"I went to room."
"Arraso." Namjoon answered.
I'd have to ask him later what that meant. Yoongi sat down next to me, putting down his bag near his chair. He looked up at me and then crossed his arms and leaned back, waiting for Namjoon to say something. He rolled his eyes and tapped his elbow against the arm of his chair.
"So." he said. "Do you rap?"
I shook my head, an incredulous expression on my face. "Absolutely not."
"Okay." Namjoon said. "Try something."
"I don't know that many rap songs." I answered, thinking hard.
"Just try one. It doesn't matter what it is."
I took a deep breath and tried to get the beat in my brain. I opened my mouth and rapped the only song I could remember the lyrics to. Don't judge, okay? I was out of ideas.
"Smart money bettin', I'll be better off without you
In no time, I'll be forgettin' all about you
You saying that you know
But I really really doubt you
Understand my life is easy
When I ain't around you" I was starting to run out of breath now, I tried to take one, making a gasping sound as I did. It made me cringe.
"Iggy Iggy, too biggie to be here stressing
I'm thinking I love the thought of you
More than I love your presence
And the best thing now
Is probably for you to exit
I let you go, let you back
I finally learned my lesson
No half-stepping
Either you want it or you just playin'
I'm listening to you knowin'
I can't believe what you're sayin'
There's a million you's baby boy
So don't be dumb
I got 99 problems
But you won't be one
Like what!"
I sat back in my chair, covering my face in embarrassment. It had been horrible, but I'd showed them what my ability was. Hopefully they could help me from here. I had to force myself to look up. Unsurprisingly, Yoongi was stifling laughter and Namjoon seemed to be trying very hard to not laugh. I sighed unhappily. How to ruin your weekend: 1. Get shipped off to Korea 2. Cause internationally famous idols to laugh at you 3. Die single and alone since your standard for boys has raised so much.
