We met D:fy at Tofu House and we all sat down to order. I sat down in the middle of the table, and turned to look at the person who was sitting on my right. I flinched as he pulled his chair in and smiled at me.

"Hi." I said quietly.

To my surprise, he leaned back in his chair and rested his arm across the back of mine. I turned back to look at him, and he smiled again.

"'Sup?"

Jungkook was sitting on my left. When he saw Ha Joon oppa, his lips pressed together and he turned away angrily. I glanced at the members of Bangtan, who were all looking in our direction. They seemed a little surprised, and their eyes flicked between the three of us. I looked down at my hands.

"How are you?" Ha Joon oppa asked.

"Good." I answered shortly, too distracted to focus on a conversation.

The members of D:fy had picked up on the tension as well. We ordered and when the food came out, I couldn't help thinking about the eating-off-Jungkook's-spoon that had occurred the last time we were here. I tried to eat my soup in silence, but everyone else was talking and it became awkward quickly. I tried to make conversation with the others, but the presence of Jungkook and Ha Joon oppa was a little frightening.

It became worse when Ha Joon oppa tried to feed me chicken off his chopsticks. I took it quickly between my teeth and tried to pretend that it hadn't happened, but I could feel Jungkook oppa's gaze on the side of my face. The meal ended an eternity later, and we walked through the market. There were all sorts of interesting foods and clothing and gadgets that I'd never seen before.

There was a jewelry stall that I particularly liked. It seemed as though the necklaces and bracelets had been made to attract me. I loved simple jewelry; a silver chain with a small pendant was my favorite. My eyes kept straying back to the stall as D:fy and Bangtan looked at a snapback and T-shirt store. I saw some of the female staff browsing the jewelry stall so I went over and joined them. As I looked I kept thinking: Liz would like this, and Mom would like this one. One of the staff that was in the jewelry stall was a stylist that I hadn't met before. She kept pointing out necklaces to me, and I tried them on. It made her smile.

"Nomu yepuda." (So pretty!) She told me as I put a silver chain with shooting star designs on.

I smiled back at her and flipped my hair playfully. After a while, everyone began drifting away from those stalls. Jungkook oppa came by as I was about to leave the jewelry stall.

"Do you like one?" He asked me fondly.

I looked up at him, and he surveyed the necklaces on display.

"They are all pretty." I answered.

"You would look good in this one." he pointed at a silver necklace with a gold wishbone pendant. The wishbone had a pale blue jewel in it.

I had tried it on already, but I didn't want to buy anything. I hadn't brought a lot of money with me. The money that I did have gave me a sort of sad feeling, and technically it wasn't my money; it was my parents'. I just smiled at Jungkook oppa and took his arm.

"Gaja." (Let's go.)

Throughout the next few hours, Jungkook stuck close to my side. I was glad for it, but it made me anxious at the same time. While Jungkook oppa was there, Ha Joon oppa stayed farther away. After those moments on the rooftop, I felt as though I couldn't talk to him. I wasn't even sure how I felt about him anymore. The more time I spent with them, the more I was confused. The more I became confused, the more angry I became with myself.

Time passed too quickly, and before I knew it I was back at the studio. I had an hour left before I had to leave for the airport. Sadness overwhelmed me. These moments had only existed in my imagination until now. I was really saying goodbye. Maybe for forever. I had finished packing, and left my suitcases out near the front. Bangtan and I were in the practice room. This was I'd first met them. My friends.

I thought of their laughs, their smiles, the way they spoke to me. And this was the last time I would see and hear that. Everyone spoke to me at the same time. I chased them around the dance practice room, and then we turned on music and began dancing to it. Yoongi oppa and Hoseok oppa even treated us to their singing, which I hoped I would never have to hear again. All too soon, Manager Hobeom was telling me I had to leave.

I was giving all of the members hugs when I felt a choking feeling get stuck in my throat. I was going to miss them so much!

"I'm glad I met you guys," I told them in Korean. "You helped me learn so much, and I feel like I grew up a little bit while I was here."

My voice trembled a little. "Thank you for supporting me and helping me. I will never forget you!"

I was enveloped in hugs and smiles and goodbyes. Maybe I imagined it but I was pretty sure I saw some wet eyes. Too many goodbyes in too little time.

"Emma." Namjoon oppa said in English. He handed me a notebook that had already been written in. "If you ever need help just look in there. I'm really proud of you, you know? You have a promising future in front of you, and we will always be looking out for you."

Jimin handed me a CD that he had burned himself and told me to take a look at it when I got the chance. Yoongi also handed me a CD and a thin notebook that he'd written in. Hoseok had bought me a book in English about dance. Jin had bought me a cookbook and a stuffed animal. Taehyung gave me a pair of round glasses (something out of Harry Potter, it seemed), and one of Bangtan's albums with signatures and notes in it. Jungkook's present surprised me the most. He'd bought the necklace he'd pointed out in the jewelry store. I put it on then and there, along with Taehyung's glasses, which had fake lenses. They gave me a third CD as a group. I had no idea what was on it, but I'd watch it first thing on the airplane ride.

We exchanged emails, and they promised to follow me on Instagram. Before I knew it we were out in front and I was getting into the van that would take me to the airport. I rolled down the window and watched their waving hands until I couldn't see them anymore. At the airport I went through security, and then boarded my plane. The sky was dark as the plane took off. I stared down at the glittering lights that I'd spent so long looking at from the rooftop of BigHit Studios. From this height I had no hope of locating it, but I knew that it was down there somewhere.

I'd always love this city, and I'd always love the people I'd met in it. I'd never forget them; these shining Seoul city lights.
