"Your attention, please," McGonagall said while tapping a glass. Aquila looked up at the older woman.

"Let the feast begin!" Dumbledore announced, and food magically appeared on the tables. Aquila barely glanced at it before she went back to sulking.

"Wow," Aquila heard Harry say. She chuckled. You haven't seen anything yet, Potter.

"I'm half and half. Me dad's a muggle. Mam's a witch. Bit of a nasty shock when he found out." An unfamiliar voice said. Aquila looked up again and saw a small brown haired boy talking with a chubby black haired boy. Great, she thought, I'm in the house of half-bloods.

"Hi, Aquila," a voice said, distracting her from the conversation she was listening to.

"Hm?" She said distractedly before turning around and coming face to face with the boy who lived.

"Hi, I said." Harry laughed, and Aquila rolled her eyes.

"Hello, Potter. Now, if you excuse me, I have to go back to rethinking my entire existence." She responded coolly, dismissing him and laying her head back down.

"You have to eat," he says, interrupting Aquila yet again. She frowned and looked back up.

     "No, I don't." She argued.

     "Yes." He argued back.

     "No."

     "You do."

     "I don't."

     "You don't." He tries.

"I don't. You can't outsmart a Malfoy, Potter." Aquila smirked.

"I know that, I was just trying to make you feel better." He shrugs. She frowned.

"Why are you being nice to me?" Aquila asked before she knew what was happening. He looked taken aback but relaxed after a minute.

"Because you look like you need a friend." He stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Aquila gave a small smile.

"Thank you," she mumbled. He grinned.

"Of course. We're friends now, we look after each other." He responded. "Now eat." She grumbled but picked up a dinner roll and ate it, making sure to take tiny bites and chew with her mouth open to annoy him. Unfortunately, he didn't pick up on it, and just laughed at her attempts.

"Two can play at that game, Aquila." He said, and picked up a roll and did the same thing. She raised an eyebrow and smiled mischievously.

"Challenge accepted, Potter. And just so you know, Malfoys don't lose," Aquila added, and he grinned.

"We'll see about that." And just like that, they both took the smallest bites imaginable of their rolls and chewed with their mouths open. People were looking at them with either disgust or amusement, but Aquila ignored them. She was determined to win this.

"All right, I surrender. You win, Malfoy." He ceded after he finished his roll. She grinned triumphantly.

"I told you, Potter. You should have listened." She smugly stated. Harry just rolled his eyes and ate some chicken. Aquila quickly finished her roll and got a salad. Fred and George were looking between the two in shock. Who would've thought that a Malfoy and a Potter would ever get along?

"Ah!" A voice exclaimed, making both Harry and Aquila jump. It was a Weasel. Aquila glanced at Harry and raised an eyebrow. He shrugged his shoulders but her eyes widened when she saw what made Weasel jump.
