The Other Malfoy {Marauders Era}

What Happens Next

     After the fiasco during breakfast, Aquila and her friends were thankfully able to go to all of their classes without any incidents, though Sirius and Lily watched Aquila carefully- something seemed off. Aquila was normally very passive and threatening someone was very out of character for her. Though, she did have a good reason for it.

     "Aquila, I'm going to pick up Severus then we're going to the library. You wanna come with?" Lily asked as they were walking out of transfiguration that day. Aquila shook her head.

     "No, I'm fine. But thanks for the offer and tell Severus I say hi." She responded. Lily pursed her lips but nodded her head.

     "Okay, but if you change your mind you know where we are." When she said that, Sirius came up from behind them and covered Aquila's eyes, startling the girl.

     "Guess who?" He said in a disguised voice.

     "James," Aquila smirked.

     "Nope, guess again." He laughed.

     "Peter?"

     "Definitely not."

     "Remus?"

     "Oh for Merlin's sake, Aquila," Sirius said, getting exasperated. Aquila merely laughed in response.

     "Oh, I know! It's Simmons, right?" She teased. Sirius rolled his eyes and took his hands away.

     "Yes, it's definitely Simmons, how did you know?" He answered, sarcasm dripping off of his words.

     "I knew it, I'm a genius." She smiled, making both Lily and Sirius roll their eyes.

     "Whatever helps you sleep at night, Aquila." He sassed back.

     "Joke's on you, I don't sleep. So there!" She retorted and stuck her tongue out.

     "Real mature Underwood, real mature." He shook his head. Aquila grinned.

     "That's me! Miss Mature!"

     "You are impossible, you know that?"

     "Oh yes, everyone says that, but I prefer easy going."

     "Whatever. Now let's go before free period is over, yeah?" He suggested, making them both laugh.

      "Sounds like a plan, Stan."

     "We've been over this Aquila! I'm Sirius, Sereeus!" He said, emphasizing the syllables. Aquila rolled her eyes.

      "Are you sure? I could've sworn your name was Stan. Well, I've been lied to for years now!" Aquila said dramatically.

     "I'm positive, I mean, it is my name after all." Sirius retorted.

     "True. Can't argue with logic." Aquila agreed, and Sirius shook his head.

     "You," he said, shaking a finger at her, "are something else." Aquila grinned.

     "I know." She responded simply. Sirius chuckled.

     "Let's just go, the others are waiting for us in the common room." Together, they walked up to Gryffindor tower to meet the rest of the Marauders.

     "James, Remus, Peter, hello." Aquila greeted as she walked in with Sirius. They nodded in acknowledgment because they were too busy poring over something. Aquila shot a look at Sirius, who in turn just shrugged.

     "So," she started, causing the boys to look up, "what are you looking at?" James gave a mischievous smile while Peter and Remus looked anywhere but at Aquila.
