"I can't believe you almost gave away my secret! Aquila Malfoy!" Lily raged, turning to Aquila. She just gave her a sheepish smile.

"I'm sorry? At least I saved it! Now Potter'll be super jealous! It's perfect!" Aquila said, giving Lily a suggestive look. Lily caught it and gagged, making Aquila laugh.

"Merlin, Aquila, stop hanging out with Black. Now, we have a few hours before Mum comes home so let's make the most of it!" She said, taking Aquila's hand and dragging her up the stairs into her room.

"You know, Lily, I always forget how completely muggle your room is," Aquila said thoughtfully, making Lily roll her eyes.

"You say that every time." She argued.

"I do not! Last time I know I didn't. Don't try denying it."

"You didn't say it to me. But you still said it. So it counts."

"Bloody hell, no it doesn't, Lily!"

"Whatever you say. Now, I have something to show you."

"Same here!" Aquila said with a mischievous grin.

"I wonder what Evans and Aquila are doing," Sirius said as he sat on his bed, talking to James, who just rolled his eyes.

"You mean just Aquila. Merlin, could you be any more obvious?" James groaned. Sirius turned to face the boy curiously.

"More obvious about what?" He asked.

"You fancying Aquila, mate. It's so obvious. Godric, even she knows it." James pointed out. Sirius gave him a blank look.

"That's because we talked about it, remember?" Sirius said dryly. James pretended to think it over.

"Oh yeah."

"Idiot."

"Prick."

"Arse."

"You got a book of how to become an animagus for Christmas? That's so cool!" Lily exclaimed when Aquila showed her the book. Aquila smirked.

"Isn't it? I can't wait to become one... though Lily, you can't tell anyone. Not even Snivellus!" She said as she saw Lily's face with disgust at the nickname.

"Not you too, Aquila... fine, yes, I won't tell anyone," Lily said with an eye roll. Aquila grinned but before she could respond, a voice called from downstairs.

"Lily? Are you home?" Lily's Mum called. Lily groaned and Aquila flopped onto the bed.

"Is Petunia here?" She asked, her voice muffled by the pillow.

"Oh, Lily! Mummy wants you!" A shrill voice called. Both girls groaned.

"I'll take that as a yes," Aquila said sadly. Lily gave her an apologetic look and trudged down the stairs, Aquila close behind.

"Hey, Mum. Petunia." Lily greeted glumly. Petunia gave a small smirk and Mrs. Evans barely looked up, too busy putting bags of stuff away.

"Ooh, Lily, you brought a witch friend over! Can this one do magic spells too?" Petunia snickered. Aquila clenched her hands into fists but Lily grabbed her shoulder, making her glare at the girl.

"I forgot your sister could be such a-" Aquila started, but was interrupted by a cough from Lily. Grumbling, Aquila walked back up the stairs, making sure to stick her tongue out at Petunia before anyone could see- besides Petunia, that is. Raging, Petunia turned back to her mother and started complaining, making Lily roll her eyes and indiscreetly shuffle away and back upstairs to where Aquila was waiting.

"Good Godric, Fleamont, you scared my wand out of my hand!" Euphemia chuckled as she held a hand over her heart. Fleamont beamed and stood next to the older woman.

"That would be a shame, wouldn't it?" Fleamont agreed as he looked at Euphemia. She simply rolled her eyes and went back to cleaning the dishes for later that night.

"Now I know you're here for a reason, just spit it out already," Euphemia said, not looking back at Fleamont. He was nervous, to say the least. The Dark Wizard attacks had been happening more frequently and he was starting to worry.

"It's just that the attacks have been happening more and more frequently. I'm starting to get nervous." He confessed, making Euphemia stop what she was doing and turn to look at him.

"Fleamont," she started, "don't you worry. With all the wards on this house, even with all of his Death Eaters Voldemort couldn't even get past the front gates. Now stop your fretting and come help me with dinner." Fleamont nodded and set to work, getting everything he needed for that night.

"Boys, dinner's ready!" Euphemia called as she set the last plate down. She heard the footsteps come stomping down the stairs and she gestured for Fleamont to sit down.

"Y'know, Mum, you don't have to go through so much trouble for dinner. We all know your cooking's the best." James shrugged as he sat down. Euphemia rolled her eyes but smiled, patting him on the shoulder.

"That's nice to say, James. Sirius, why can't you be more like James?" She teased jokingly. Sirius rolled his eyes.

"James? You sure about that, Mrs. Potter?" Sirius raised an eyebrow. Euphemia paled considerably.

"Not at all, Sirius. Don't even think about it," she warned, narrowing her eyes. Sirius grinned and James scoffed.

"Y'know, Lily, you should come over to the Potter's for dinner one of these days," Aquila said casually and laughed as Lily paled.

"You know I can't do that, Aquila. For good reason, too." Lily looked at her. "And besides, I'm sure Mr. and Mrs. Potter don't want another kid to take care of." Aquila gave her a disbelieving look but nodded.

"You think that now. But whatever you say, Lils." She shrugged.

"Now, are you ready for dinner?" Lily inquired. Aquila's eye widened.

"Is Petunia going to be there?" Aquila asked seriously, turning to face Lily.

"Yes," Lily groaned. Aquila closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"Great. This should be fun then." Aquila said sarcastically. "Do you think she'll ever be nice to you? I may have to hex her if she insults you again."

"I won't stop you," Lily promised, making Aquila grin.

"Good. Because I wasn't going to let you."

"Besides, she's overdue for one anyway. How Mum lets her get away with it, I'll never know. She's honestly worse than most of the purebloods at Hogwarts."

"I know! Can you believe that? It's insane! I cannot believe she has a boyfriend, or any friends for that matter." Petunia was a few years older and therefore deemed herself mature enough to have a boyfriend, Vernon Dursley, a horrible boy.

"I'll never know. Now we should really get going. Otherwise, Mum is going to stick Petunia on us, and that's a very scary thought."

Wow, this was horrible. I am so sorry. I should probably stop apologizing and start writing, yeah? I'll try that. *edited* have y'all ever had that moment when you hadn't updated in so long you don't even know how you format your author's notes? Yeah, neither had I.
