That night all I could dream about was running.
As my paws pounded the earth, the forest flew past me in a blur. It felt so right to me. I was made to run.
Feeling excitement bloom within me, I pushed myself even faster. I could hear the beating of my paws upon the earth. I saw birds scatter from the tree tops as I ran by. I was the ultimate prey.
"HELEN!!!"
Bolting awake, I saw Alora standing in my door way already dressed.
"Get up, you are running late!"
Looking at the clock, I saw that it was already 7:30 and school started at 8.
Throwing my blankets off of me. I ran into the bathroom and took the fastest shower of my life. As soon as I stepped out. I heard Alora shout from downstairs.
"Helen, I'm leaving for school. Don't forget that when you get there to go straight to the office and pick up your schedule. If we have no classes together then I will see you at lunch. Have a good day."
"Okay, you too. Bye."
Shutting my door again, I figured since I was already late then I would take my time.
Blow drying my hair, I let my hair fall in waves down my back. I quickly did my cat eyeliner and some mascara and headed to my closet.
Grabbing the outfit I bought yesterday, I pulled on my black rose pattern tights and put on my cut off high-waisted shorts. I tucked in my vintage Beatles tank and threw a red carrdigan on top. For shoes, I chose my black combat boots that stopped just above my ankles. Choosing to wear my cute feather necklace my aunt bought me for my birthday, I knew I was ready to go.
Heading downstairs, everyone had already left. Grabbing a blueberry bagel, I went out the door and jumped into my red jeep, I turned the music all the way up and headed for school.
When I first pulled up to school, my only thought was it is small. My last highschool had so many kids that it made it easy for me to get lost in. However, Whenhachatu High School was much smaller. Seeing all the kids standing around the parking lot before school made me not want to get out.
Unfortunately, I was already spotted so it was too late. Mustering up my courage, I got out and headed for the front doors. As soon as I rounded my car, all conversation seemed to stop. Everybody, and I do mean everbody, was looking at me.
Keeping my head high and eyes front, I procedded to make my way towards the office. As I walked I could hear the whispers around me.
"That's the knew girl living with with the Reeses." Some girl to my right said.
"I know, I heard she was different, she isn't like them." Her friend answered.
Choosing to ignore them I kept walking. The whisperings seemed to increase until people were simply just talking again. I recieved many cat calls from a group of jocks and some not so nice words from a group of girls next to them. I guess I could definitely say I was the center of attention.
'Rebecca, I don't think I can do this. They are all starring at me."
'Don't be silly Helen, you can do this. You are hot and a bad ass werewolf. You got this!'
'You really think so?' Smilling to myself, I knew Rebecca would know what to say.
'Of course I know, if you weren't, the goddess herself wouldn't have chosen you. Now, go in there and show them how awesome you can be.'
Mustering up all my courage, I started up the steps right when the bell rang. Quickly I became lost in the crowd and it was only a miricle that I found the office. Stepping through the door and into the office, the lady at the front dest looked up at me and flashed me a warming smile.
