China Grass Pudding (kadal paasi)

INREDIENTS:

China grass /agar agar - 50 gm

Water - 1/2 cupMilk - 1 1/2 cupsCondensed milk - 250 gmSugar - 1/2 cup (you can add or less sugar according to your taste) Rose essence drops - 1/4 tsp (you can use any essence or colour powder) Almonds for garnishing

Water - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1 1/2 cups
Condensed milk - 250 gm
Sugar - 1/2 cup (you can add or less sugar according to your taste)
Rose essence drops - 1/4 tsp (you can use any essence or colour powder)
Almonds for garnishing

STEPS:

STEP 1 : In a pan, take agar agar and break it into small pieces and add 1/2 cup of water. Mix well using spoon and soak it for 10 minutes. Boil it. Cook the agar agar until it dissolves completely.

STEP 2: Then add milk and condensed milk and stir it. Again bring this mixture to a boil. Add sugar and rose essence drops and stir it well.

STEP 3: Now the mixture will be bit watery as we have added sugar. Combine well till the sugar dissolves.If it is cooked it becomes sticky. Pour the mixture to a vessel that can get hold of it.Cover it. Do not disturb the set up. Use almonds for garnishing. Leave the set up for 2 to 3 hours.

STEP 4:  Once it becomes cool. Keep it in the refrigerator and cut into diamonds and serve chilled..
