POPCORN CHICKEN

INGREDIENTS:

Boneless chicken - 300 g
Egg - 1
Curd - 1/2 cup
Maida / All purpose flour - 1 cup
Pepperpowder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste -1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Baking powder - a pinch
Bread crumbs - 1 ½ cup
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste

STEPS:

STEP-1:Clean and chop the boneless chicken into small chunks.

STEP 2: In a shallow bowl, beat together egg and curd.

STEP 3:In another shallow bowl, combine maida flour, salt, pepper, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, and baking pwd. Mix well.

STEP 4: In another plate, add bread crumbs.

STEP 5:Keep all the three ingredients ready.

STEP 6: Now, to start with, roll each piece of chicken first in the flour mixture.

STEP 7: Then dip in the egg mixture.

STEP 8: Now roll in bread crumbs.

STEP 9: Once the chicken pieces are coated , once again repeat the process by rolling the chicken bits in the flour mixture, dipping in the egg mixture and rolling in the bread crumbs.

STEP 10: Keep all the coated chicken pieces ready to fry.

STEP 11: Heat oil in a fry pan.

STEP 12: When the oil is hot and ready, add the chicken pieces in batches.

STEP 13: Take care not to overcrowd the oil. There should be enough oil for the chicken to be complete. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup.

                   COOKING TIPS

If you forget to soak chana/Rajma overnight. Just soak the chana/Rajma in the boiling water for an hour before cooking.
