"I've been up front with you. You can take a failing grade now, and try again later... anyone who has doubts would be smart to reject the tenth question right now. Come back and reapply next year, and the year after that." The atmosphere in the room became tense as few genins gulped. 'Darn... talk about a no-winner situation.' Riku thought, his gaze moving over his teamate. 'I know Nagisa's decision, but what about Sachiko-chan?' On the far left hand side of the room was a shaking Sachiko. Ibiki looked around the room seeing most of the genin shaken up. "Ready? Then let's begin... those who choose not to accept should raise their hands. Once their number has been confirmed, they will leave the room."
Multiple hands shot up, quitting while there was still a chance. 'Why is everyone leaving?' The greenette thought as she looked around the room. On the opposite side Uzumaki Naruto was shaking as his hand slowly went up, then slamming it down on the desk. "NEVER UNDERESTIMATE ME!!! I DON'T QUIT AND I WON'T RUN!!" Everyone in the the room looked at the blonde boy in awe or in surprise. "I'LL ACCEPT YOUR STUPID QUESTION!! EVEN IF I RISK ENDING AS A GENIN FOREVER... I'LL STILL BECOME LORD HOKAGE EVEN IF I CAN MAKE IT BY PURE STUBBORNESS, I DON'T CARE!! I'M NOT ARFAID OF YOU, DATTEBAYO!!"
Ibiki's P.O.V.
I got to admit that kid got guts... "I'll ask you one last time. This is a descicion that could affect the rest of your life. Quit now, while you still have the chance." I warned the brat, but he only showed more determination.
"I never go back on my word. That's my shinobi way!" I scanned the room seeing the determined faces of the gennin. Seventy-eight of them are still here. 'Hmmm... an entertaining kid. And interesting. He dispelled everyone else's doubts along with his own. More than I expected but... there's no point in dragging it out thanks to him.' No one else will quit. I looked at the chunins to see if they agree for what I am about to do. They nodded.
"Good call. So everyone who is still here..." There was a few gulps. "YOU'VE JUST PASSED THE FIRST EXAM!!" The looks of their shocked faces were gold.
"What do you mean 'passed'?" Pinkie asked me. "When did that happen? What about the tenth question?"
"There is no tenth question, beyond the whole 'accept or reject' thing." I grinned. More questions were thrown at me and I happily explained to them till there was none. "All seventy-eight of you have passed the first part of the Chunin exams-" I was interrupted by the glass braking as a flag covered my face. 'Her... now? Spare me...' I sighed.
"NONE OF YOU ARE IN ANY POSITION TO CELEBRATE!!" Does she have to be so loud? " I AM THE SECOND CHIEF EXAMINATION OFFICER... MITARASHI ANKO!! TIME'S A-WASTIN', PEOPLE!LET'S GO!!"
Sachiko's P.O.V.
This. Lady. Is. AWESOME!! "FOLLOW ME!!" She's now one of my idols!
"Can't you sense the mood in here?" Scary guy asked Anko-sama, making her blush and examine the exam room.
"Seventy-eight of you are still here?! Ibiki! You passed twenty-six teams?!" Anko-sama scolded scary guy. She has a whole lot of guts... and that's why she's awesome! "You obviously went way too easy on them."
"This year, we had some expectional candidates." Scary guy replied with a smirk.
"Yeah, right. I'll cut down the number bt half before the next test is done." Anko-sama snickered. "Ooh! I get charged up just thinking about it! I'll explain more things in detail as soon as we move to our next location... so follow me!!" Anko-sama walked towards the door as all of us stood up and trailed behind my idol.
3rd P.O.V.
~Meanwhile on top of the Hokage Tower~
"Jiraiya, I want you to keep an eye on Sachiko." Hiruzen set his gaze on the village with his back facing Jiraiya. "Something does not sit right with me..."
"What do you mean?" Jiraiya started to worry and even more with each second the Third Hokage didn't reply.
"I was warned that she unconsciously has taken a life... not just any, but her mother's." Hiruzen replied grimly as Jiraiya stood there shocked with his eyes wide not knowing what to think.
