A/N- Once again, I AM SO SORRY FOR FORGETTING TO POST THIS ON THURSDAY I LOVE YALL HERE YOU GO ENJOY IM SORRY.

I sat on the bed in Brendon's guest bedroom listening in on Tyler's internal conflict with a smile. I couldn't do anything after he got here for two reasons.

One: he never really fell asleep.

Two: Dallon was in here watching him so there was no way in hell I was going to make myself known.

Oh well, I didn't really need to do more anyways, from the sounds of Tyler's thoughts I had done more than enough to accomplish my goal. I watched as he wrote a quick note to Brendon and left the house, his head hanging low as he walked.

Perfect.

He cried the whole drive over to a bridge that he and Brendon used to hang out at when they were in high school. As he got out of his car and began walking the dirt path to the bridge, it happened.

A tiny seed of doubt began to grow in my mind. Am I sure I want Tyler to do this? To doom Josh to the same fate I've been stuck with? Am I ready to take on the new responsibilities that will come with being a demon? Do Tyler and Josh really deserve this?

But then again, did I deserve it?

No.

I was the good guy once, and the Collector I was dealing with destroyed me and...my girl (I wish I could at least remember her name) without a second thought. I didn't deserve it, but it happened to me. Why should Tyler and Josh be excused?

With my thoughts back in order, I watched in anticipation as Tyler climbed over the rail of the bridge and stared down at the water below. He did that for awhile, just stare. But I didn't care. Brendon always sleeps in anyways; Tyler will be long gone before Brendon even sees the note.

At least I thought so, that's why I almost fell over at the sound of Brendon's loud booming voice shouting Tyler's name from the end of the bridge as he ran over to us.

No! No, no, no, no, no! This is not what's supposed to happen! I watched as Tyler tried to fight off Brendon so he could finish what he started, but Brendon overpowered him and pulled him back onto the bridge. Tyler begged and pleaded for Brendon to let him go, but Brendon is probably the most stubborn human I've ever encountered so I knew Tyler's begging would do no good.

Sadly.

Growling in frustration, I could hear the thoughts in Tyler's mind shift despite my best efforts to interject. As he and Brendon sat on the bridge and cried, I felt like doing the same but for a very different reason.

Becoming a demon might be my only shot at riding me of this constant misery, and it was just taken from me. For now, maybe I'll have another opportunity because Tyler hasn't beaten me yet. With this new hope in mind, I let out a loud laugh, making sure it reverberated throughout Tyler's mind.

I watched quietly as Brendon convinced Tyler to go make amends with Josh, and to my dismay Tyler agreed. When they got back to the apartment Josh was acting so cute, almost like a little puppy, that it made me want to gag. And it almost made me feel a little bad for what I've done/am trying to do.

Almost.

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, Pete and Patrick decided to show up and help. It was kind of funny when Brendon and Tyler screamed out of their surprise; I didn't know their voices could reach that high of a pitch. Josh and Dallon, however, did not scream because they've grown used to the other two's sudden appearances.

I listened as they discussed a plan for what to do tonight, and was happy when even Dallon said he had no idea what to expect from me tonight.

Although, when Dallon offered to teach Josh something new to use against me I became a bit anxious. Even if Josh does get it right though, I'd only be "disabled" for a few days. If Josh gets it wrong, he gets destroyed for eternity. So, really either way wouldn't be so bad for me.

Instead of hanging around to watch Josh and Dallon practice, I decided to follow Tyler and Brendon to the café. Their conversations weren't that interesting to me, just Tyler telling Brendon things that I already knew.

Although, I'm not really happy that Brendon said he'd buy Tyler a new radio for his car, that'd make it even harder for me to interact with Tyler while he drives.

When Tyler and Brendon finally went back to the apartment, I anxiously waited until time for Tyler to fall asleep. Tonight could be my night. Even though no one wanted to admit it, they were all nervous and their nerves only fueled my excitement for tonight further. I was feeding off of their fear, saving the extra boost of power it was giving me to use tonight. If they do survive tonight, I will definitely still be haunting their nightmares with what I have planned.

Around three in the morning was when I decided to show myself. I knew that Pete and Patrick were here with Josh, but I wasn't very concerned. They have no idea what's coming. I went straight into the form of Blurryface, who I have no embraced fully, and spoke.

"Don't remember that last time you tried to drag your friends into this it didn't go well, Josh?" Surprisingly, Josh was the one to answer. Last time he let Pete do all the talking for him.

"Things are a little bit different now, so you should take this opportunity to leave before we have to force you to." he said. I let out a loud laugh at Josh's words. Poor thing.

"That's really cute. You think this little chipmunk in a fedora will be able to do much to protect you? Look at him, he's tiny!"

I stretched out my hand to ruffle Patrick's hair, but Pete stepped in front of him and slapped my hand away like you would do to a child trying to get into a cookie jar.

"Don't you dare lay a finger on him," Pete growled out.

"I thought he was supposed to protect you, not the other way around." I answered with a smirk. They all looked at eachother in confusion, and I knew it was because they didn't know how I knew that information. There's so much about us Collectors that Protectors don't know. Protectors just like to think that they know everything.

"I think you all forget that unlike you I can be in multiple places at once. I can be setting fires in Tyler's mind, here watching your pathetic attempts and trying to learn ways to beat me, and in hell planning out my promotion ceremony all at once."

Ok, so maybe I lied a little bit there. But they don't have to know that.

I saw Pete grab Josh by the wrist and try to convince him to calm down, but it didn't work. I was gaining most of my power from Josh as of right now.

"Still, we're giving you the chance to leave now. Before anyone gets hurt." Little Patrick said calmly.

I tried not to laugh or coo at how adorable he looked trying to be threatening. Like I said earlier, he's like a little chipmunk or a bunny. Instead, however, I gave them a small smirk and raised my two fists in front of me and slowly extended both of my middle fingers.

"That is what I have to say about your little offer." I said

"Fine," Pete replied.

I cracked the joints in my hands and my neck before letting my nails and teeth grow again, but this time with a twist. My jaw opened up impossibly wide and my teeth were even longer.

I probably looked like some fucked up mix between a snake and a shark, but as long as it scares them it's all good. And boy, did it scare them. I could almost tangibly feel the fear in the room. I let out a roar. Let's do this.
