The New Girl

Chapter 8

Kevin on top.

It's been two weeks since I been to school, seen Cole and seen my friends. I was still in that stage where I felt hurt that Cole used me. Well news flash for him, he's going to have to try hard for me to let him in my life which that's never going to happen.

Right now I was sitting on the couch eating Doritos while watching the office. The good thing that happened in the past two weeks is that my ankle is all heal but bad that I didn't get to go to the soccer tryouts.i was glad that my dad never went back to California. Right now he was in his work room doing his work like he said and it sucked that he was working because that meant I had to put the volume at 20 which wasn't very loud for me.

I shut off the TV and got up making my way up to my room. I was sick and tired of just being home. So I decided to just go for walk in the park. Walking inside my room closing the door behind me, I put my hair in a messy bun and went towards my iPod that was connected to my mini speaker and put on a random song. The song that came up was Too good by Drake. I started swaying my hips to the rhythm.

" I don't know how to talk to you
I don't know how to ask you if you're okay
My friends always feel the need to tell me things
Seems like they're just happier than us these days" I sang as I danced my way towards my closet.

"I'm too good to you
I'm way too good to you
You take my love for granted
I just don't understand it" I sang.

I searched for anything that looked nice which took me a while since I was dancing and singing. I grabbed a grey crop top and some blue jeans and also grabbing my shoes and threw them on my bed. I quickly changed into the clothes I picked out. I then put my hair down and grabbed my white hat fixing it on my head. Slipping on my shoes I grabbed my phone and turned off my iPod and walked out of my room.

Walking down the stairs I sent a quick text to my dad since I didn't want to bother him in his work. In an instance he replied with an okay. I grabbed the keys to the car that my dad rented since I didn't feel like taking out my baby. He's been in the garage for 2 weeks already. I walked out closing the door behind and walked towards the car that was parked on front.

Sliding in the car I turned on the ignition and sped off to the closest park which was only 5 minutes away.

Killing the ignition off I looked at the beautiful looking park that was filled with cute adorable kids playing and families having a good time. I smiled at the sight and got off the car clicking on the lock button. I walked on the side walk that lead to the play ground that was fill with kids.

Just watching kids playing made me all happy inside, i don't know why. I saw an empty bench and decided to sit there and relax.

Sitting down I took out my phone and checked if I had any messages but I didn't so I placed it between my legs and watched the kids play. My thoughts were interrupted by a little girl who was standing in front of me giving me a cute smile.

"Hi" I said smiling at her.

"Hi!" She said a little to loudly.

Before I can say anything she spoked again

"Can you push me on the swings?" She gave me puppy eyes which were so cute on her that I couldn't say no.

I nodded which made her squeal and grabbed on to my hand and started pulling me towards the swings. I giggled as I was being dragged by the cute girl with pigtails.

I picked her up and set her on the swing and slowly started to push her.

"Higher!" She demanded.

I laughed as I pushed her a little harder making her giggle. It went on and until she said she wanted to get off. I picked her up setting her down.

"That was so much fun!" She giggled and ran off somewhere. I smiled as I sat myself on the swing and started to swing slowly. My head snapped up seeing the little girl walking with a guy with blonde hair and icy blue eyes. He was attractive ,I'm not going to lie.

"It's her Kevin she was nice enough to push me unlike you" she sneered who I assume was her brother.

He chuckled while looking down at her but stopped when is eyes ment mine. I gulped nervously waiting for something to happen.

"Thanks for pushing her on the swings I was kinda busy with something." He said rubbing the back of his neck as his eyes roamed around not even looking at me in the eyes.

"It's no problem, I had fun" I smiled down at the girl who giggled.

"I'm Kevin and this little one is Athena." He said looking into my eyes.

"What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl" I smiled at Athena.

"Thank you" she giggled, "what's your name?" She asked tilting her head to the side.

"I'm Aviana" I smiled down at her.

"Hey we both have the letter A in our names, that's cool" she gave me a toothy smile. I smiled back and turned my gaze back to Kevin who was staring deeply into my eyes.

"Well it was nice meeting you guys, but I have to go" I gave them a sad smile as Athena wined.

"We'll we see you again?" Athena said looking up at me with a frown.

"Maybe" I smiled down at her.

I said my byes and turned and walked towards the car but was stopped by someone grabbing on to my elbow. I turned seeing it was Kevin. I gave him a puzzle look waiting for him to say anything.

"Um, can I have your number, you know so you can see Athena again and play with her?" He said but said more as a question.

I nodded as he handed me his phone and I  typed in my number and gaved it back. We said our byes and walked our separate ways.

I turned back seeing that was Kevin was staring at me which made me blush quickly turning forward and walked towards the car.
