Chapter 22

Cole's Pov

Tears were streaming down my face as I held Aviana closer to me, I didn't even care if I had her blood on me I just needed to hold her.

"Baby, wake up. Please" I croaked out  shoving my face at the crook of her neck. I could feel her pulse making me feel a tiny bit of relief. I lifted my head and checked where she got shot, one was in her shoulder and one In her stomach and one near her heart.

I hold her tighter as one of the paramedics were pulling me away, "No!" I screamed holding her even tighter.

"Please sir, we need to get her to the hospital she can die if we don't hurry" The paramedic said pulling me back. I let go of her and they soon placed her on the gurney and wheeled out of the classroom.

I sat there on the ground staring at the blood on the floor. It was my fault that she got shot, why couldn't it be me! I ran my fingers through my hair in a forceful way.

I felt dead inside knowing that she might not make it. I shook thoes horrible thoughts, no, my Aviana is strong and she'll get this through. I stood up and ran out while pulling out Aviana's cellphone dialing her dad,

"Hey princess, what's up?" He said cheerfully. I really didn't want to ruin his mood but he needed to know.

"Stanley, it's Aviana" I breathed out running towards my car.

"What? What happened, is she okay?" He sounded alerted,

"She got shot, " I stopped taking a deep breath and continued, "Aviana got shot" I cried out .

"Oh my god" was all he said.

"She's headed towards the hospital as we speak"

"I'll be there" he hang up.

I scrolled down searching for Liam's number, I dialed him as I got inside my car, turning on the ignition and waiting for him to pick up.

"Hey girl, what's up" Liam said happily.

"Hey Liam it's Cole meet me at the hospital now" I said in one breath, I started to drive in a fast speed towards the hospital.

"Why what happened?" He asked worried in his voice.

"It's Aviana, she got shot"

There was silence on the other end and I thought he hang up, "I'm on my way, Ill bring Erika also" with that he hang up.

I killed the ignition, getting of my car and ran towards where they were taking her out of the ambulance. I followed closely behind the doctors in the ER where doctors soon surrounded her.

Everything was going in slow motion as doctors came in and out, soon her heart monitor was going crazy,

"Her heart beat is going down, we need to get her to surgery now" the doctor ordered.

"Please come with me sir" a nurse said from behind. I nodded as I followed her to the waiting room, Stanley then ran inside searching until his eyes landed on mine and came towards me.

"Where's my daughter" he cried out placing both of his hands on my shoulder.

"They are taking her into surgery right now" i explained, he nodded. I helped him sit down and I sat across from him.

"I can't lose her either, she's all I got" he looked at me tears in his eyes. I nodded as I totally understand. He lost his wife, and losing his daughter would just destroy him.

2 hours later~

Two hours. That's how long we been here sitting, worrying, crying. Stanley had his hands over his eyes softly crying. Besides him was Erika who was crying and Liam was there hugging her tightly.
