The New Girl

Chapter 17

Avianas POv

I lazily got up from bed and made my way towards my bathroom taking a 15 minute shower. I was no longer that new girl from school who had an amazing life, I was a heart broken girl. But life goes on and just have to move forward.

I got out of the bathroom with my fluffy purple towel tightly wrapped around my small frame. I walked towards my closet, slowly sliding it to the left and stood there seeing Kevins clothes neatly placed beside my own. I ignored the lump in my throat and searched for a outfit.

Just because I was broken didn't mean I could look nice for school. As I finish getting dressed I grabbed my bag leaving my phone behind since I didn't need it at all. I walked out of my room and walked downstairs smelling pancakes. I hurriedly made my way towards the kitchen seeing dad cooking and Johnny sitting at the table typing away on his phone.

"Morning" I said trying to be cheerful.

"Morning Aviana" they both said at the same time giving me a sad smile. They both hated that me and Kevin broke up but didn't say why which I'm glad. I sat down across from Johnny and twiddle my thumbs. A plate with pancake and syrup with strawberries on top was placed in front of me making my mouth water. I thanked my dad and started eating.

I burp loudly rubbing my tummy. I got up from the chair and said my byes to my father and brother anf walked out of my house. I took a deep breath and got in my car turning the ignition on and sped off. Today was the day that Kevin was going back to school and it made my heart beat race like crazy. I just want to have a nice day at school today.

I killed the ignition and stared ahead seeing Kevin surrounded by a group of girl and he looked, happy. I looked down at the ring and back at him. Maybe there's still a chance. Those words kept on repeating in my head hoping that it was true. I sigh deeply and got out the car making sure I don't make a noise. Successfully that I didn't make any noise I pulled my hoodie over my head and made my way towards the entrance. I sigh in relief when i made it inside and pulled off the hood off my head and walked towards my locker.

Taking my math book and a pencil I shoved them in my bag. I froze when I heard his voice calling for me. I didn't dare turn around, I knew I would just break down if I saw his face. I hated the fact that it was all my fault me and him ended.

"Aviana" he said again hearing irritation in his voice.

I turned around but didn't meet his eyes instead I stare passed him where my two bestfriends were giving me worried looks.

"I want the ring back"

My heart broke even more into a million pieces. I looked up at him with widen eyes, his face looked serious no hurt or any emotion showed in his face. I gulped nervously and slowly pulled the ring out of my finger.

"Hurry up bitch I have a girl waiting for me"

Once the ring was fully off of my finger looking down at it giving it a last look before giving it back to him. I was suddenly pushed back against the lockers making me groan in pain. I looked up seeing a very angry and impatient Kevin.

"Give me the fucking ring!" He yelled tightly grabbing my wrist. I hissed at the sudden pain holding back the tears. In the months that I knew Kevin I never thought he would hurt me physically and it scared me. I glared up at him and put the ring behind my back. He slammed me against locker but harder this time making some tears fall down my cheek.

Everything went to fast as I saw Kevin fall to the ground. I froze and stared at Kevin who had blood running down his nose. I looked to my left and saw a raging Cole.

"What the fuck is your problem hurting a girl" he yelled making the people around flinch. He was really angry.

Kevin just rolled eyes and stood up making his way towards me. I pushed myself back as he made his way towards me but stopped when Cole step between us. They both started glaring at each other waiting on who will make the first move. Kevin being impatient swing his fist towards Cole but Cole quickly grabbed on his fist twisting it the wrong way making Kevin groan loudly.

But that didn't stop him soon they were in a horrifying fight and blood was ending up on the floor.

"Kevin stop!" I yelled placing my hand on his shoulder trying to push his off of Cole but a fist was connected to my cheek making me stubble backwards and fall on my butt.

"Aviana!" I heard Erika and Liam yell and ran towards me.

I didn't pay any attention to my friends who were asking questions, I saw Cole looking towards me with widen eyes and Kevin with a regret look but faded and turned around towards Cole who punched him square in the face making Kevin fall unconscious to the ground.

A cold hand touched my cheek where I was hit making me hiss. Liam gave me a apologetic look and carried me bridal style. I saw Cole making his way towards me but Liam stopped him saying to back away.

"Let him" I whispered making him look at me if I was crazy. Liam sigh in defeat and let Cole get near me.

"Are you okay?" He asked sounding worried. I nodded as I gave him a small smile and he returned it but the worried look on his face didn't faded. I looked down at the ring that I was still holding, making the right choice I threw it where Kevin was who was getting up.

"May I" Cole offered looking at Liam. Liam nodded and handed me over towards Cole. As our skim made contact i felt fireworks I smiled knowing that he felt it to since he was giving me a big smile. I giggled as I  wiped off some of the blood that was on his cheek.

"I'm so crazy over you" Cole whispered looking at me with love. I didn't say anything as I just smiled placing my hand against his cheek as he closed his eyes as if he was enjoying my touch. Even if me and Kevin were a couple I still had feelings for Cole and I'm glad felt the same. He was my hero he saved me from being hurt by Kevin and that made me like him even more.

"Let's get you to the nurse" he said and made his way towards the nurse office. I turned my head seeing a grinning Erika and Liam who was giving me the thumbs up. I shook my head at them making them chuckle. I snuggle against Cole loving the feeling he was giving me.

School went by a blur nothing else happened and Liam finally got along with Cole which I was happy because cole was going to be sitting at our table for now one. I never heard or seen Kevin after the fight he must of left home. One thing I was going to miss from him was his sister, god she was like a sister I never had and I wasn't going to see her. Me and Cole became once again friends and later on tonight me,Cole Liam, Johnny and Erika and Chris  were going to the fair later on tonight and I was excited it's been forever since I went.

"Today is going to be awesome don't you think Aviana?" Erika giggled as she linked her arm on mine. I nodded giving her goofy smile.

"And we are going shopping!" She squealed pulling my out of the school. I groaned making her pull me towards my car. I hated shopping the only thing i would shop for is shoes that's it. I just knew we weren't just going to one store.

But I was so excited for the fair so it couldn't be that bad shopping with my best friend, she's probably not one of those girls who goes to every single store.  Right?
