The New Girl

Chapter 20 Part2

School was out, now I was waiting besides a tree for Cole to come out saying he needed to talk to a teacher about something. My legs were starting to give up on me so I sat down and patiently waited.

20 minutes later...

I groaned and stood up picking my bag and stormed inside to the empty halls. Empty halls always freaked me out for some reason, someone can pop out of no where.

I wrapped my arms around my self and slowly walked down the halls. No sight of Cole. I took out my phone dialing Coles number.

"Aviana where are you?" He said right when he picked up.

"I'm inside looking for you" I hissed.

"Come out, I'm outside"

"Okay, bye" I hang up not letting him say anything and shoved it in my bag. I turned but stop when I face palmed the wall. Wait there's no wall

I took a step back meeting with blueish eyes that I once loved. Kevin. Anger was visibly shown on his face and that scares me. I didn't say anything as I just stared into his eyes as he did the same.

Getting board of the staring contest I walked besides him but he instanly grabbed my arm forcefully making me whimper.

He started to drag me down the hall, fear took over and I couldn't even yell help. He forcefully opens a random door ad throws me inside making me fall. I jumped at the sudden noise from the door being slammed close.

"Get up!" He yells, I gulped as I picked my self up from the ground. I finally notice that we were in a class room, I turn towards Kevin who was very angry now.

"What do you want from me?" I whispered never meeting his eyes.

He smirks which made my skin crawl, " I heard from a little bird that you and Cole are a so called a thing now"

I nodded, forgetting how to speak.

"Use your words dammit" he growls making me flinch.

"Y-y-yes" I stuttered.

"You are so stupid Aviana" he chuckles.

"What do you mean" I whispered, I didn't understand what he ment by that, and it hurt that he called me stupid.

"Did you know he was the one who caused the accident on our anniversary"

I could feel my legs were about to give up as thoes words left his mouth. Cole wouldn't do that.

"He tried to kill me Aviana", he continues, " he wanted to get rid of me so he can have you all to himself".

"No. I don't believe you" I glare at him.

He laughs, " that's fine, don't" his laugh instantly dies down, "but just to teach that fucker a lesson I'm getting rid of you" he sneers and pulls out a gun from his back pocket and I froze as I stared at the gun.

"Such a shame, you didn't even make it to graduation" he laughs as he aims the gun towards me.

My eyes flicker towards Cole who was looking through the small window on the door. His eyes flicker towards the gun and me and he turned pale and fear was shown on his face.

There was banging on the door and the door knob jiggled furiously, Kevin turned where Cole was and smirked.

"Well look who it is, your boyfriend. Why not let him see his girl being shot and bleed to death"

He loaded the gun and he aimed it back to me, I closed my eyes shut hearing Coles yells but I could faintly hear other voices being yelled. I slowly opened my eyes seeing that teachers were now trying to open the door.

I looked at Kevin as he pulled the trigger.
He shot me.

As if one shot wasn't enough he shot me again  and again. He shot me 3 times. I fell backwards staring up at the ceiling. I faintly heard the door being slammed open. Cole came to view.

"Baby you got to stay with me" he says as he gently puts my head on his lap.

Seeing that he had tears in his eyes all the anger towards him faded. I shouldn't be angry at him since I'm slowly dying. Feeling weak I raised my hand and placed it on his cheek. I noticed I had blood on my hand I removed my hand seeing a bloody hand print on his left cheek.

"You have my blood on your cheek" i laugh but whimper as I felt pain.

Cole smiles, " you got shot and your trying to be funny"

"Just trying to lighten the mood" I smirk.

His smile soon fades and so does my smirk, "it's my fault you got shot," he says running his fingers through his messy hair.

I grab his hand and interlock them, "it's not your fault" I stopped feeling that it was getting tough to speak, " the only one who is at fault is me I should of never moved from that tree." I took a deep breath and continued, " then this would of never happend".

His mouth moved but couldn't hear what he was saying. Everything around me was going dark by the second. I looked up at Cole seeing worried all over his face.

"I forgive you" I say, " and I love you" I give him a weak smile and he does the same. He leans down and gives me a kiss. My eyes slowly closes and darkness over comes.

I'm no longer the new girl, I'm now the dead girl.
