Louis had been completely stressed out all morning. So much was on his mind and he just was struggling to process it all. During his previous meeting with the board, the one interrupted by Harry's arrest, the Great Britain team handed Louis a thick stack of papers informing him that he was being given the opportunity to be traded to a different team- one that wasn't out of London, but in America. It was a huge, life-changing decision that Louis just didn't want to make.

Plus, Harry was arrested for God's sake and that was another issue on it's own. Louis knew Harry was having a hard time between the negative media exposure and, as of today, his discharge from the team, and it was hard for him to watch his lovely boyfriend try to hide his sadness.

Louis thought that they both really deserved a fun day out and there was no better place than a carnival full of impossible games, deep fried foods and thrilling rides. So, he skipped his morning weight training, bought two tickets, and snuck into Harry's flat to surprise him. It was the perfect plan.

He pulled up outside of Harry's building and parked his car, taking his truck again today because he didn't want to stick out too much in the crowd. Louis hopped out and sent Harry a text to tell the boy to come downstairs.

When Harry stepped out the glass doors of the building, Louis swore he had never seen anything more beautiful in his whole life. Harry was clad in sinfully tight ripped jeans, a white pin striped button up that was halfway undone, and little brown boots. His signature cheeky smile was spread across his pretty face as he waved happily at Louis from the opposite sidewalk.

"Hello, gorgeous," Louis called out with a fond smile, opening up the passenger side door for Harry.

The taller boy dipped down to press a chaste kiss to Louis lips before hopping into the car. "Oh, Mr. Tomlinson, how you flatter me so," Harry said in a sing-song tone, clutching his chest with a dramatic dopey look on his face.

"I only speak the truth, young Styles," Louis replied teasingly.

"More like Yung Styles. With no 'o' in young. And, like, a dollar sign for the 'S'. You know, because I'm so thug," the green eyed boy posed, his fingers making the west side sign as he pursed his lips into a smirk.

Louis rolled his eyes. "I hate you," he said jokingly as he shut the door.

Harry made a heart with his hands, a smile growing on his face as he watched Louis get back to the driver's seat through the windshield.

Louis hopped back in, starting off down the road once both he and Harry had their seat belts on. He tapped his fingers on the wheel, a peaceful silence filling the air in the truck.

"You know, I've never been to a real carnival before," Harry spoke up, leaning forward to turn on the radio before settling his eyes on Louis.

"What? You've never been to a carnival? Harry Edward Styles, you are not fully living! You are so lucky I'm here to give you exposure to the amazing experience that is a carnival because you are missing out, kid," Louis exclaimed, in shock that Harry had never been to a carnival.

Harry let out a laugh and shrugged. "I never had anybody to go with," he explained, "And, yes, I am very lucky to have you here." Harry leaned over to peck a kiss on Louis' cheek, settling back into his own chair with a satisfied smile.

They pulled into the parking lot of the carnival, Louis having already paid to reserve a good parking spot ahead of time. Louis was actually really excited, he hadn't been to a carnival since before his parents died and now he was going with the beautiful boy he called his boyfriend. There was no way the day could be anything but perfect.
