Lyra

6:15 AM.

Isn't it strange? I think I'm lost. Where was I? There were trees over there, and a duck over there...

.....

A duck? I looked forward at the huge road I was walking on. No cars have passed by since I came here. Deciding that this would be the better choice, I slowly walked over, finding a serene lake. It seemed to call out to me, dragging me in. It was drowning me in it's scent, the smell of rain, and fresh air. I breathed in as much of it as I could. Immediately, my body calmed down, my eyes focusing on the small waves in the lake.

It looked so clean. What lake was this clean? In the reflection of the water, I saw a branch extending over, and a log for crossing. Some vines hung over the branch.

I walked around the tree, inspecting it. It looked a bit weird. As I circled it, {it's circumference was very large} I saw some branches sticking out in a pattern that made it seem like it would be easy to climb. I placed one foot on a branch, testing it's sturdiness.

Soon, I was stepping up the tree, using my hands and arms for better grip, my feet maneuvering carefully so I did not miss my step. When I got high enough, I saw the city, a magnificent sight from above. Did I really trek that far? How long had I been traveling for? I took out my phone to check. Fortunately, it still had 37%. No calls or texts. My parents were probably off on a business trip again, so I took pictures until I climbed back down and fell asleep on the grass.

I guess fatigue really took me over.
