Can You Hear My Scream

Mynx, 11:30 AM

I was so happy we had a half day today! Honestly I couldn't wait to get out of school, Sirius and I were going to hang out.

I was exiting my History class, my head down, hiding the excitement I had inside because I knew I was about to go hang out with the boy I was secretly crushing on.

"Hey, Mynx!" I heard a voice yelled from behind me. I looked back to see a rushing Sirius who was pushing through the crowded halls to get to me. I laughed and I ran to the exit, running away from him. I decided to have a little fun, cause you know, why not?

I ran down the stairs leading towards the exit of our school building. Once I was outside, I didn't look back for him. I ran as far as I could knowing he would close in soon because I'm not a very fast runner.

"Gotcha!" Sirius yelled, grabbing onto my shoulders once I was about to run around the corner of the block. I sighed and stopped running, catching my breath. I think that was the most I've ever ran since middle school! Sirius was out of breath, too. Man, that boy is really fast.

"What do you want to do?" Sirius asked me. I didn't like to be the one to make decisions, so I turned the question back around.

"I'm fine with anything. What do you want to do?" I asked him. He sighed and he knew what I was doing. Thankfully he didn't ask me again because if he did that question would be thrown back and forth and that'd be annoying.

"Maybe we could go back to your house?" He suggested. I didn't think it was a good idea, my mom was out on a business trip for about three days more than a week now. She told us not to bring anyone into the house, but Mylesia didn't listen to her. She said she'd be back in a month.

"Er, I guess we could." I replied. I couldn't say no to him, that'd be embarrassing. Hey, if Mylesia could break the rules, why can't I?

"Okay, sounds good. Lead the way!" Sirius said. We were walking to the train station, talking the whole way. He has a great personality! He made me laugh a lot, and he seemed very willing to make me happy. I was very thankful for that.

We walked down the stairs into the underground train station. I looked at the board that shows the train schedule while taking out my metro card.

"Okay, our train is coming in exactly one minute, so hurry up and get out your metro card!" I told Sirius, swiping my card into the machine. Sirius swiped his, too, and we went to go stand up by the benches.

Just then the train came speeding down the tracks, starting to slow down. As soon as the train doors opened, we both stepped on and had a long conversation.

"YOU WILL NOT WIN!" I yelled, using my special attack move. Haha I'm so lucky I chose Pit. He has the best special move, no one could survive from it! We were currently playing Super Smash Bros Brawl. I was Dark Pit and Sirius was Ike. Of course I used my flying move to dodge all of his attacks, so it was an easy win.

"Game Over." The game announced. I was so happy, I looked at my scores and I beat Sirius by a ton!

"Damn you're a great opponent!" Sirius said, almost slamming the controller to the ground.

"Ah ah ah, no cursing young man!" I pointed out.

"Damn isn't a curse word you know." Sirius said as he got up to go look at the time. It was seven thirty.

"Man it's getting late!" I said, pointing out that he should go home. Sure, it was a Thursday, and college students don't have classes on Friday, but he does live kinda far, so he would get home maybe around nine-ish.

"Yeah, I should probably head home. I'll bring the snacks for tomorrow when we watch Netflix." Sirius said, looking at the shirt he had on.

"Okay, bye!" I said, waving him off.

"Bye." He said as he shut the door. I thought about what he said earlier. DID HE JUST INVITE HIMSELF TO MY HOUSE TOMORROW? I THINK HE DID. This is NOT okay.

"Mynx?" I heard someone call out. I got scared. It was a male's voice. A voice from my father.

"Um, yes dad?" I answered. I tensed up. I wasn't supposed to bring anyone over. Mylesia was so lucky dad wasn't at our house during the party, or else she would've gotten in trouble, too.

"Did you have someone over when your mom told you not to?" My dad asked as he was walking down the stairs to our living room. I gulped and faced him eye to eye.

"Yes dad, I'm sorry." My dad sighed and smirked, coming up with an idea.

"Now Mynx, for your punishment, you will be doing all the chores until your mother comes back." My dad said. Just then, a woman came, stroking my dad's chest. That was NOT my mother.

"Sweetie, when are you coming back?" She asked. She was blonde, wearing a really disturbing cheetah print dress.

"You- you're cheating on mom?" I whispered, tears flowing down my checks. My dad just grinned.

"Is this one of your stupid twin daughters? My, she's ugly. She's the maid now right?" She asked, giving me a look of disgust. The tears flowed down harder. I took a couple of hiccuped breaths.

"Yeah, she's our new maid, and so is the other twin." My dad smirked. The hideous blonde let out a giggle.

What have I got myself into?
