Not Letting You Go

Dante

Fear consumed me the moment I opened the room where I last saw Ina. And for the first time in my entire life, I feel so terrified the moment my eyes connected with Cain who was panting from running all the way here.

"She's gone,"

My heartbeat raced as I hysterically look for her in every corner of the room. Hindi pwede. Hindi maaari. Kung itinakas nga siya ng pamilya niya, ibig sabihin lang n'on ay kasama niya na si Adan.

"God damnit!" I hissed throwing all that was on the center table. Galit ang nangibabaw sa akin lalo na sa huli kong naalalang pag-uusap namin.

Binigyan ko siya ng dalawang araw para makapag-isip isip pero putang'na, I didn't know she will be easily swayed. Alam kong mayroon siyang nararamdaman para sa'kin, it couldn't be that she would play piano for me, it couldn't be that she let her kiss me. It couldn't be possible for her to let me touch her, shivering underneath my every touch. Naroon ang koneksyon namin na hindi ko magawang balewalain. Just like how I denied my feelings for her few years ago.

My mind was filled with complete darkness, it was empty and dull. And even though she was already gone, her scent was still around filling my senses, taking away the tiniest sanity that was left in me.

I growled loudly, thrashing around like a wild beast. She left me. They took her. My fist landed on the wall, my bones cracking in the process, my hand already wounded.

"Dante, calm the fvck down."

Nakapagdesisyon na ako. Kukunin ko siya, by hook or by crook. Magkamatayan na.

"Track her down." I growled, sending daggers at my own brother.

Gumalaw ang panga niya ngunit tumango. "I called my best tracker already, he'll send me the information in an hour."

An hour. Damn it because every second feels like years of waiting. Napatingin ako sa aking relos at nakitang isang oras na mula nang sabihin ni Cain na mata-track ng tauhan niya si Catalina ngunit lagpas na ng isang minuto ngunit hindi pa rin tumutunog ang telepono ni Cain. Enraged, I hissed loudly, grabbing my car keys. Tinakbo ko ang labas at mabilis na sumakay sa aking kotse. Bago ko pa ito maisara ay napigilan na ito ni Cain.

"Hindi mo na siya maaabutan pa."

Nanggagalaiti kong tinanggal ang kamay niya sa pinto saka binuhay ang makina. Even if she hides in the depths of hell, I will still seek for her.

Ngumiti ito saka tinapik ang aking balikat. I was so sure he was protective to his daughter but the way he acts right now, parang walang nangyari.

"What brought you here, Dante?" Tanong niya nang umatras ng ilang metro ang layo mula sa akin. He sounded like a real mayor and more fatherly than a madman.
