baby look what you've done to me.

It had been almost two weeks since the hospital called and said Wes could come home; Vanessa and Cody don't think they've ever moved so fast in their lives that day. Vanessa couldn't even remember the last time she had hugged someone that tight.

Ever since then, she and Cody had been closer than before. And with good reason. She decided to tell Wes tonight, and he knew something was wrong by the way she sighed when she began talking.

"You have to promise you won't hate me." She started off, somewhat gulping.

"W-why would I hate you? I could never, just tell me." She bit her lip.

"Well, you know how Cody and I came to get you together the day you got out of the hospital?" She asked, and he nodded. She proceeded to tell him how Cody took her home with him because he wanted to be there for her, and that she was drinking and she wanted to forget about what was happening.

"I didn't want to think about the fact that my best friend could be dying and there was nothing I could do about it. I wanted to forget. So, I asked Cody if we could have sex. He said no the first couple of times because he thought I didn't actually mean it. When I convinced him I did, we had sex. He took my virginity." With every sentence, her voice got quieter, and she was afraid of it disintegrating into the air before them. Wes sat in shock.

"Co– wait. Cody took your virginity?" He asked, just to make sure he was hearing right. He wasn't mad, not at all. He was in disbelief that it was Cody who took it.

"Yeah, Wes. Cody Herbinko took my virginity." She looked up, confused when he wasn't angry.

"Oh, I didn't expect it to be him. Are you okay? Like, do you regret it?" He asked seriously, really just wanting to be there for her regardless of his own feelings.

She looked at the ground, sighing deeply. "I thought I would, but ever since it happened, I don't regret it." He didn't really know what to say.

His two best friends had hooked up, and he was in a coma while it all happened. He was in such disbelief. All he could think back to was his sophomore year.

"Why are you so scared?" An intoxicated Wes laughed, looking over to his best friend, who was laughing also.

"I don't know, it's just– I just want it to be special. You know? I want the person to be someone I know truly loves me. Even if we aren't together forever, they won't go and like talk bad about me." She looked up at him, biting her lip.

"So, basically me? I'm your best friend. It should be me." He smirked slightly, and she couldn't help but blush.

"Well, maybe, but not now. I don't wanna get pregnant or anything like that." Wes looked a bit amused, but he nodded at his friend.

"I get that. But, you'll be fine. I promise. And no matter what you decide to do once you're older, I support you." At that point, that was all she wanted to hear.

He promised he would support her, and he would. He just couldn't believe it.

Now, while Vanessa and Wes were at his house alone, they watched a plethora of movies, each one making them more entertained than the last.

"I love this one, let's watch it." Wes exclaimed, but Vanessa looked as if she was going to be sick. He looked over at her with concern, and she rushed to the bathroom.

Once she got in there, he could hear her throwing up. He rushed to the bathroom, pulling her hair away from her face as she continued.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" He asked, panicking almost.

"I don't know what's happening. I just felt fi–" She was cut off by the surging in her stomach, causing her to puke again.

After a while, she stopped. She looked up at Wes, who had already started up the car.

Once Wes finally forced her to the hospital, he decided he wasn't gonna leave her side. When she went into the room with the doctor, he stayed.
"Is she dying, sir?" Wes asked, confused and afraid.
The doctor merely laughed.

"No, but she is pregnant."
