i hate that i love you.

Wes was unsure of what to do now. Vanessa wouldn't look at him, and it felt as if his life had no meaning. She left him, someone who had always been there for her, for someone she hadn't even been with a month; she'd never been with him at all come to think of it.

It angered him how easily she could just choose someone else over him. After everything they'd been through, she just let him go. It pissed him off.

So, Wes needed a way to deal with this anger and sadness that surged through his body since she walked away from him. He turned to other people first, and when that didn't work, he turned to alcohol, which left a taste in his mouth that he couldn't stand, so he stopped drinking. Nothing he could ever do would erase the way he felt when she said that he was hurting her.

Meanwhile, Vanessa was starting to wonder if she made the right decision. Her and Dakota were having fights right and left since that day. It seemed as if that was all they did anymore.

"So, why would they just accuse you of cheating on me?" She questioned, pacing around the room and trying to keep calm.

"Because baby, they're jealous. You heard Wes say that he's in love with you. He wants to stop our bond, and I won't let him. I love you." He said it before he could stop himself, and Vanessa broke into a grin.

"You love me?" She widened her eyes, smiling from ear to ear. Dakota would not miss that opportunity.

"Of course, only you baby. I love you and I've been so afraid to say it." Dakota slyly smiled, holding her close so she would stop pacing.

"You promise that it was just jealousy?" She looked up at him, biting her lip.

"I promise, I could never do that to you." He took her up to his bedroom, and laid down next to her on his bed.

"I'm so tired, thank you for bringing me up here." She said sleepily, yawning.

"Yeah, I noticed you looked really sleepy. Just take a nap, it's a mental and physical break that you deserve." He stroked her hair softly, kissing her forehead as she fell asleep.

While this scene was unfolding, Wes had come up with the best idea he'd had in years. He would make a collage and montage of moments they'd had together. When reminded of their history, she couldn't possibly hate Wes any longer. He started working that same day; blowing up pictures and hanging them everywhere, cutting and mashing videos, he wanted it to be perfect. He wanted her to know just how much he cared, how much he loved her.

After many hours of work, he decided that he was finally finished. He silently prayed that everything would work out as he called her.

Traitor
is calling...

read Vanessa's phone as she sighed and reluctantly picked up.

"Hi, what is it?" She answered rudely, really not in the mood to talk to Wes considering Dakota was clinging on to her side in his sleep.

"Okay, I have something to show you. Come to the house. My house. Please, and come alone. It'll be better that way." He responded, feeling incredibly proud of himself.

"I don't wanna do that. Wes, I have a boyfriend if you haven't noticed." She sounded annoyed, about to hang up. Wes couldn't let that happen. She had to see what was going on.

"No please, just please come. I won't ask anything else of you." He begged, desperate to see her after what felt like so long. She sighed heavily on the other side of the phone.

"Fine, thirty minutes tomorrow afternoon. That's all you get. It shouldn't even take that long. Deal? Thirty minutes and I'm gone." She negotiated.

"Fine, thirty minutes. That's more than enough time. See you tomorrow Ness." He smiled as she said her goodbye and hung up.

Just talking to her made him feel like everything was okay.

The next day, Wes couldn't even bring himself to go to school. He was too busy making sure everything stayed perfect for Nessa. When she knocked on the door that afternoon, he got up and ran to answer it.

"Hey, come on in." He took her to the room, commanding her to close her eyes and keep them closed as he guided her strategically inside the room. Once he told her to, she opened her eyes and the look of surprise was only revealed on her face for a split second before she gradually started frowning.

"I thought maybe if I did all this, you couldn't be mad at me anymore. It just proves I'm willing to go through anything for you." He smiled, and she was at a loss for words.

"Wes, this is so sweet. And so, so very beautiful. But I just don't know. You tried to ruin my relationship with Dakota, even though you know he makes me happy." She trailed off, looking around and feeling a bit overwhelmed.

"Only because Cody and Sam heard him. He only wants to hurt you." He explained, and she held the tears in her eyes back as much as she could.

"Does he? Wes, I just don't know." She was pacing, getting frustrated. Wes was her best friend for so long, and when she felt that he betrayed her, she didn't know if she could ever forgive him. He promised that he would always protect her, and he's hurting her heart every chance he gets. At least, that's what she thinks he's doing. She runs a hand through her hair as Wes pleaded.

"Ness, just think it over. You don't have to make any decisions yet, just please think it over." He reasoned, biting his lip.

"Wes, that's the thing about it. I've been thinking about it ever since this whole thing started. And I think I want you out of my life, okay? For good." With that, she rushed out of the door, ready to go home into Dakota's arms.

If only she knew Wes wanted to actually ask her out.
