"I love you."
Finally, the three words she's longed to hear since day one. He's finally said them. She looks into his sparkling eyes. "I love you too." He smiles down at her and pulls her close.
He leans in, slowly, until they're lips are inches apart.

"Harley?!" A rough voice jolts Harley awake. "Yes, puddin'?" She calls from the bedroom. She walks out. She's wearing a large t-shirt and pj shorts, her hair is in a messy pony tail that sways when she moves.
"Where is my suit?" He asks, not turning around to acknowledge her. He's in black boxers with no shirt. "Oh... Um... It's in the dryer..." She sputters. Joker sighs, holding the bridge of his nose with his forefinger and thumb. "Are you fucking serious?" He asks, voice barley above a whisper. Hesitantly, Harley nods. "Y-yes." Joker looks at her, venom in is eyes. "Fucking hell, Harley."
Harley looks down, ashamed. "I...I'll go see if it's dry." Harley walks out of his office, and into the laundry room.
Joker couldn't get the look on the jesters face. Sighing, he walked out of his office.

Harley got the suit jacket and the rest of the clothes out of the dryer. She heard the door click open but thought nothing of it. "Harley?" She looked up. It was Joker. "Y-yes Mistah J?" He notices she's shaking a little, she's terrified of what he might do.
"I'm sorry."
Harley's jaw drops. The Joker never says sorry. She has nothing to say. She's so in shock.
"Forgive me, pumpkin?" Joker says, opening his arms as if ready for a hug. This shocks Harley more. He doesn't hug. She nods softly and walks into his arms. He warps her in his strong, comforting embrace. Harley wraps her small arms around his waist and rests her head on his chest.
"I know my actions may not always show it..." Joker starts, making Harley look up at him. "But I do..." he trails off.
She waits patiently for him to say it. "You're gonna make me say it?" He grumbles. She nods. After all it's one of the few times she's the one in control.
He sighs and looks at her. He notices all of the shades of blue in her eyes. He notices the curve on the bridge of her nose. Her high cheek bones. Her full lips, and her Cupid's bow. Her everything. Slowly, he leans down.
He presses his lips to hers softly. She kisses back. They kiss for what feels like forever, yet not long enough. When Joker finally pulls away, much to Harley's dismay, he speaks. "I love you."
Instantly, she lightens up. For the first time, he's said those three little words.
