Wherever it may lead us,
May your smile never fade...
-*-"Don't let them get away!"
Their voices were nearing now, the hooded figure panting at the effort to elude their approaching lights. In their arms they cradled a barely conscious figure, their breathing calm and silent.
"Forgive me," the hooded figure apologized repeatedly to the sleeping body, their footsteps crunching on the fallen leaves as they snuck into a tunnel that led deeper into the bowels of the sleeping country.
The footsteps grew fainter the deeper they went but the hooded figure refused to waste time and rest. It was her last wish- one final plea that the figure couldn't ignore. They couldn't afford to fail here just yet.
The tunnel led them into an abandoned harbor, an old ship waiting for them by the docks. The figure hastily made their way to the ship, gently laying the sleeping figure onto the vessel before getting off to untie the rope. The sound of footsteps once again echoed in the tunnel, the figure clicking their tongue as they tossed the rope into the ship.
"There they are! Stop the ship!" The voices barked, the figure running to the front of the ship to push it off. The sounds of swords being drawn forced the figure to turn away, drawing their own blades at the mass of uniformed men that surrounded them.
"Surrender. Do you really intend to jeopardize the whole country by running away?!" One of the men moved forward to face the figure- his silver blade shining in the moonlight.
"It's a wish I must honor. This has to end," the figure retorted before running forward to attack the man who had spoken.
The clashing of blades rang loud, neither losing their composure as they exchanged blows. The figure backed away just as the man delivered his strike, the force enough to cleave the ground from where the figure had just recently stood.
"General! The ship!" One of the men exclaimed, both heads whipping away from each other to see the ship sailing farther from the docks.
The figure took this as their cue and ran after the ship, their foot slamming hard on the wood before leaping onto the vessel. The man watched as they slowly sailed away, his eyes never leaving the magenta ones that burned against the night.

"Look, Rhode! It's the ocean!" A young girl with long bluish-black hair exclaimed happily, her cerulean blue eyes shining with wonder and awe. The sound of the lulling ocean gently lapped at the shores, the ocean breeze wafting in causing the young girl's hair to dance to its lazy rhythm, a lone gold hair pin with a sapphire gem trying its best to keep her unruly bangs from blocking her view.
The blue-haired young girl was dressed in a simple traditional Azian outfit, the light blue sleeveless upper garb barely showing her shoulder's light pinkish complexion, the rest of her arms being covered by long flowing white sleeves that reached until her fingers.
Had one looked closer though, the glint of two sharp blades could be seen peeking from underneath, the weapons securely attached to her arms and hidden by the long sleeves of her attire.
Her lower body consisted of a pale blue sash wrapped around her waist, leaving the extra cloth of the sash to flow freely with the wind. She wore a pair of white training pants that ballooned around her two petite legs but not before narrowing and hugging her ankles, a pale blue waist-cape belt with gold linings flowing fluidly from behind. Her pale gold Azian sandals fitted snugly with her feet, the footwear creating thudding noises on the wooden floor when she began to jump about excitedly like a rabbit.
