In the eyes of death,
May those who are judged be saved...
It isn't weakness,
To ask for help when in need.

"You idiot! I thought I told you to run away from here?" I yelled at Gon but by the look on his face, I doubt he heard me.

"He can't hear me..." I murmured, loud enough for Kurapika to hear me at least. Our bodies were stiff from anticipation, neither of us willing to move away from Leorio in case Hisoka decided to attack us.

But like Gon, Hisoka's lingering gaze on the boy remained firm. I shudder in disgust when he licked his lips at the sight of Gon walking towards him making me wonder if maybe Gon had hit him too hard that it messed with his head.

But then again, mercilessly killing people out of the blue while pretending to be a judge was already messed up to begin with.

"Hisoka's completely ignored us as well. Usually, the best strategy we have is making a run for it. The sacrifice of one for the sake of many but-" I clenched my teeth in frustration. The old me would have had no qualms about leaving Gon but that boy...

He was the reason Yllina and I have managed to move even a bit towards the light and I'm not about to cast away the hand that helped us. Yllina and I are no longer puppets of the corrupt monarchy that held us. Every decision we've been making until now is ours.

Although I am afraid to die and leave Yllina behind... At the very least knowing she wouldn't be alone this time...

"What a peculiar weapon. A fishing pole? Show it to me, boy." Hisoka taunted just as Gon ran towards him, his speed unparalleled to any regular boy his age but this was Hisoka.

If he wanted, he could kill us all here without batting an eye. What Gon was doing was suicide. What did he hope to achieve by going against such an enemy?

"Ack!"

"Gon!" Both Kurapika and I yelled just as Hisoka dodged the fishing pole aimed for him and grabbed Gon by the neck.

"Good boy. Have you come to help your friends?" He cooed causing the blood in me boiling. My feet kicked to the ground hard, mud digging into my sandal's soles as I bounded towards the two. Kurapika's voice to stop me were left unheard, my magenta eyes glowing in anger and desperation.

Let me at least save one more life.

"Don't worry. I won't kill them~ they all passed!" He beamed and for that moment I felt my foot trip on the wet ground and my body skidded to the floor, fog water soaking in to my cloak and clothes.

W-What?!

"You all deserve to be hunters." He congratulated, his total 180 still baffled me as I tried to rise from the ground.

Turning to the mad clown himself, the crazy blood lust he had a while back had already dimmed but it didn't stop me from quickly rising to my feet in complete anticipation and focus when he started walking towards us after he had supposedly 'passed' us.

*Ring* *Ring*

The sound of a cellphone echoed in the quiet forest, the momentary distraction from Hisoka made me back away from him in a heartbeat. I didn't bother to listen in nor did I even care. What mattered was whether or not he was lying when he said we passed. It could all be a trap intended to lower our guard and I wasn't planning on letting him have the upper hand.

"It looks like I have to go. It was fun while it lasted. I'm sure you'll find your way back by yourselves, right~?" Hisoka gave us a wink before he vanished, my hands quickly to my blades before he appeared behind Kurapika and my eyes widened in alarm.
