Within what cannot be seen,
The fangs of a demon lurk close...

The huge frog continued to hop off slowly while Yllina and I cautiously followed it from behind.

We were lost, that I could ascertain but it'd be easy to get back to the main group anyway with Yllina's gift. Although the swamp may be meant to trick people, the wind here is not. It has always been an ally to us so I doubt it'd betray us due to Yllina's influence.

So my top priority right now was how we were going to save Gon and Killua who had been eaten by a frog. Given by how huge it was and assessing it's lifestyle, we had to act quick. Something as huge as this animal will no doubt easily digest the two in a matter of minutes. It would be easier to use my sword but chances are I might hit them by accident so I had to use that as my last option.

"Rhode we have to do something!" Yllina hisses next to me in a hushed whisper causing me to eye my dao blades in contemplation.

"I can't, Mistress, I might hit them." I whisper back before backing away a bit when the frog nearly turned back to scan behind it. It's obviously looking for a place to rest while it digests its food. Scanning the foggy forest, no doubt it's looking for a nearby body of water.

*Gurgle*

A bubbling sound that surely didn't belong in this forest echoed loudly causing me to stop walking while grabbing Yllina and twirling her behind me.

"How did it see us?!" Yllina panics when the huge amphibian turned to us, its eye glazed while remaining frozen.

*Gurgle**Gurgle*

That odd sound as if something were bubbling caused me to eye the frog carefully, the sound somehow was actually coming from its stomach. My eyes widen in alarm at the thought that it took it this fast to digest them and was about to ready my dao blades to kill it (seeing as we had no other option left) when the most absurd thing had happened.

The frog's mouth thinned as if trying to stop itself before its stomach bloated and its mouth finally opened. The sickening acidic scent of vomit wafted into the foggy air causing both me and Yllina to recoil in disgust at the sight of the frog's bile scattered on the ground.

The disgust though easily shifted into relief when we saw two familiar figures splayed on the ground, their breathing an indication that they were alive.

"Ewwwwww! It stinks." Gon whines as he gets up, his clothing completely soaked in frog vomit.

"I had no choice. At least that cheating man's drink saved our lives." Killua spoke next my eyes zeroing in on the small canned drink that Tonpa had offered us back at the tunnel.

I couldn't help but smirk at the kid's quick thinking, his sharp wit probably earning him a few points in my book. If Gon trusts him then he'll be a wonderful ally to have around. It's funny how I can think such things now. Gon's positivity probably rubbing off on me. It'd usually take me days to assess an individual if they truly did deserve to be trusted and yet with these people-

I find it to be a miracle.

"Gon! Killua! Thank goodness!" Yllina bounded off to them quickly, ignoring the fact that she had embraced two boys covered in frog vomit.
