Chapter 25

--Chapter 25--

ALEXIS' POV:

All along it was a fever,
A cold sweat hot-headed believer,
I threw my hands in the air, said, "Show me something."
He said, "If you dare, come a little closer."

Round and around and around and around we go,
Oh now, tell me now, tell me now, tell me now you know.

Not really sure how to feel about it.
Something in the way you move.
Makes me feel like I can't live without you.
It takes me all the way.
I want you to stay.

I sang lightly while cleaning the dishes waiting for a call from the doctor, a few days ago I got to go home but the baby had to stay and get real taken care of because of being born so early and as the nurse put it 'he's really struggling' Which shatters my heart.

I continued to sing while cleaning my stomach still hurting from a week ago after giving birth. Sometimes if I stood up too long it'll cause a sharp pain to the side of my belly. But if I lay down in bed, in the middle of the night I'll wake up from a sharp pain.

I sighed putting the dishes away and I leaned against the counter to keep myself up after feeling a little dizzy. I grabbed my cup of juice drinking it to help a bit.

'this is why you don't have kids' I thought to myself and walked out of the kitchen and upstairs to check on Noah to see if he's sleeping like I asked him too, but he was so excited that I didn't think he will fall asleep.

I opened the door a crack and seen him passed out on the floor, surrounded by toys with cartoons on. I shook my head and picked him up setting him in bed also picking up his toys. Then, I turned off the tv walking out of his room closing the door, leaving it open a crack.

I groaned feeling a bit of pain and walked into the bedroom sitting down beside Isaac. "You alright? Do you need anything?" He asked looking at me worried.

"I'm fine, just stood up to long and picked up Noah to set him in his bed" I combed my hair with my fingers softly, tired. Isaac nodded setting his hand on my knee, he let out a breath.

"I know, it's hard to walk around and feel nothing but pain. I can take more pain away if you want" I looked up at his blue eyes that always sparkled when he looked into mine. I nodded slowly.

"Please" I whispered wanting the pain to just wash away and that's actually what he did, setting his hand on mine taking more pain away for the millionth time. He winced feeling the pain go into him but he soon healed and his eyes open to only meet mine again.

"Thank you" I simply said he just smiled and kissed my lips, "Anything for you" He leaned his forehead against mine. I smiled heat rising onto my cheeks, I seem to always blush around him and when he notices, he continues until I turn so red that I look rather scary than pretty.

He laughed kissing my cheeks, "You should get some rest" He pulled me into his arms and lay down pulling me down with him. A small smile appeared on my lips as I nodded closing my eyes and put my head against his chest falling asleep to his calm heartbeats.

I woke up to the phone. ring, ring, ring.

"Are you serious?" I mumbled to myself getting out of bed and to the phone, it's freaking 6am, seriously?

I answered the phone, angry. "Hello?" I snapped angry that I'm woken up from my rest which I have to have to heal right.

"Yes, uh...Ms. Alexis?" The girl said nervously, "Obviously.." I rubbed my eyes waiting for a response which took about a minute.

"Ah, yes. Umm..we'll like to tell you that your baby, he didn't make it...He was struggling real bad and couldn't breath correctly. It sort of happens when babies are born early." She said calmly but yet you can hear the worry and sadness in her voice.

I stood there taking it in, I sighed, "Alright, thanks" I choked out and hung up quickly.

Now what do I tell Noah and Isaac?...
