Chapter 22

--Chapter 22--

ALEXIS' POV:

I sat outside looking at the dark sky, quietness filled the air. It was peaceful and yet I still couldn't fall asleep. I swung the porch swing a bit one hand on my stomach and the other holding onto a mug full of tea.

'Pregnant' that word scared me so much. But yet I'm going to have to say it to Isaac. and I still don't know how. I couldn't just go up to him and say 'oh I'm pregnant with your kid, again' that would make him want to run away again and I honestly don't want to be a single mother with a newborn and a toddler. That would be hell.

I sipped my tea, thinking while looking at the stars glistening in the sky. The sound of the pool water swaying started. A bit of wind picked up but I didn't pay much attention until it started raining.

I grunted annoyed because I was enjoying the peace and quiet. So I got up walking inside setting my cup down in the sink and walked upstairs climbing in bed.

I flinched of the clap of thunder filling the room, I just was scared of thunder and how loud it was. I felt a arm snake around my waist and pulled me towards them.

I jumped again to the sound of thunder again. I turned facing Isaac who was still asleep so I buried my face in his chest trying so hard to fall asleep but failed.

More thunder came which made me shake in fear, "Shhh it's just thunder" Isaac cooed, pulling me closer to him. "I know but.. I'm terrified of them" I said.

"It's okay just fall asleep and you won't hear them" His voice was groggy like since he was woken up from his sleep by me jumping around like an idiot. I nodded closing my eyes again but this time actually falling asleep.

I woke up at 7am like always and pulled myself out of bed, the lack of sleep still washing over me, begging me to sleep more but I had to get up remembering that I had my first doctor's appointment.

I rubbed my eyes and started the shower, slowly undressing myself. Then finally climbed in, standing under the warm water for a long 5 minutes til I finally start to clean up and get out.

I hurried and picked out leggings and a sweater but with a tank top underneath. I grabbed Noah's clothes walking into his room.

"Noah wake up" I shook him softly seeing him stir. His eyes fluttered open and met with my eyes. I smiled changing him.

Then I brush his tangled curls making him say a 'ow' once in a while. I set up cereal for him and also turned on spongebob running back upstairs to fix my hair.

I dried it then started to curl it. I brushed the light curls and walked out putting on my Vans then grabbed Noah's little vans that matched mine.

"Where ya going?" Isaac looked at me sitting up, "Taking Noah out, I'll be back like in 30 minutes or so" I lied, he looked at me then nodded. "Have fun, I'll just be... here" He laughed getting up and walked over to me.

"Alright" I smiled looking up at him while he stepped closer inches away from me and rested his hands on my waist, I waited thinking he'll give me a kiss but he didn't all he did was give me a plain smirk.

I rolled my eyes closing the gap between us and kissed him lightly. He smiled and muttered against my lips, "I love you" I pulled away pecking his lips. "I love you too" I tapped his nose and grabbed my purse, walking downstairs to Noah who was distracted by the tv.

"Come on bud, hurry and eat" I said putting on his small shoes, he took one last bite, "Done!" He shouted with a mouth full on cereal. I laughed putting the bowl away and turned off the tv.

I his batman sweater over his hand and tucked his arms in the sleeves. I snatched the car keys off the side table and walked out holding onto his small hand.

"What's that!" Noah cheered pointing at the ultrasound smiling. "That's your little brother or sister" I looked at him and his eyes lit up rather quickly and jumped up and down. "Can we tell daddy!" He asked. I nodded, "Soon baby"

I sat up fixing my shirt and the doctor gave me photos of the small baby inside me. I smiled stuffing them in my purse and walked out with Noah and drove home.

"Look, we can't tell daddy about the baby yet, okay?" I said while buckling his seatbelt he nodded not asking any questions about it. Just hopefully he'll keep his mouth shut about the whole baby thing but he's only 4 he can't hold in that kind of secret.

I walked in setting Noah down by the couch and turned on the tv. I rushed upstairs looking at Isaac who was watching tv in the bedroom.

"Hey" He smiled as I walked over to the bed and sat down. "I really need to tell you something" I said and I seen sorry wash over his face and furrowed his eyebrows at me.

"Okay" He nodded, I huffed out a long breath. Well here it goes. I gotta tell him right now, I just thought that I can't keep this in any longer. He has the right to know that I'm carrying...
