I rushed off to a nearby restaurant. Not caring which one I walked into, I just didn't wanna be near those two.
Whew. That was close.
I didn't want them knowing about my little incident with Vernon. God knows they'd never leave me alone. Especially since they knew he was my bias from Seventeen.
"Omo! Unnie! You're back!" Myung Sol ran up to me.
I flinched at the unexpected greeting.
S***. I came to the same restaurant?
"Here. I'll take you to your same spot." She grabbed my hand, leading me to the back.
"Thanks," I sat down. "How'd you know it was me?"
She smiled. "The way you walk. I saw you rushing over and I was hoping you'd come in."
"Why?" I asked.
"To thank you for the food you sent to our family. It was perfect because it was Appas birthday, so we enjoyed it very much. Thanks a lot Unnie." She bowed.
"It was his birthday?! Oh my gosh I'm so terrible! Can you wish him a happy belated birthday for me?" I felt so bad.
How come he didn't tell me?!
"Awwww don't feel bad Unnie. It was the best gift for us, so I'll make sure to tell him." She winked pulling out her notepad. "So, what can I get for you today?"
I thought about it. "3 cheeseburgers and 3 large fries with lemonade drinks and no ice in one of em please."
She jotted it down quick. "Sure thing. I'll be back in half an hour."
I nodded, watching her leave.
Once she was out of sight, I turned back to the window. I loved looking at the Ferris wheel. People were lined up, excited for their turn to go on.
Hmmm. I should go on too.
"Aha! I knew you'd be here!" I screamed at the hand on my shoulder.
My eyes traveled up to the person, my heart still pounding. "S***! What the hell is wrong w-"
Vernon held a finger against my lips, the mask being the only thing separating the skin ship. But still enough to make me blush. "Shhhh! Wouldn't wanna attract people." I heard him smile.
I twisted his finger, satisfied when he started to yelp. "Ah-ah-ah! That hurts!"
I smiled. "Good. We're even now." Seeing the pain on his face, I let go and sat back down.
He sat across from me, clutching his finger. "S***. I think you dislocated my phalanges."
Silence.
"But that's okay, I'm satisfied with finding you here." He leaned back.
"How'd you know I'd be here?" I asked.
A shrug. "I didn't. I just hoped you'd be."
My hand flew to my chest. "Awwwww did you miss me already?"
He laughed. "Yes, I missed you not your driving."
I laughed. "So, what brings you here today idol?"
A shrug. "I just felt this need to come here today. So I got up and came, little did I know I'd be seeing you again. Boy am I glad I got up. You?"
I cleared my throat, ignoring the corny comments. "Oh, my cousins are here for the summer and since today was a free day I brought em out to sight see."
