I guess I enjoy Shopping...

It was a little odd. My parents never let me out of the house by myself and they were never nice enough to give me the keys to their baby. Something was up, and I was going to figure it out. But first, my room needed to be refurnished.

As I got to Lowes for the paint, I noticed that a red Ford Dodge was following me. Normally, I would not have cared, except that it was my sisters pride and joy. She would never drive another car. So, I immediately parked and put the car into neutral. After shutting off the engine, I made sure to lock the car before stomping to where my sister was parked. As my fisted hand pounded the tinted window, I suddenly realized that Lydia did not have tinted windows. She said it detracted from the overall view, which pretty much meant herself. As I stopped banging the window, it began to roll down.

"Yes?" The chick in the drivers seat asked, rather harshly. But, I did not let it get to me. I was the crazy person banging on her window.

"Um, well, this is going to sound a little odd, but I thought this was my sisters car, and I was going to yell at her for following me to the store and I am so sorry if I left smudges on the window, I will wash it for you if you want?" My long rant finally ended, and I could have sworn she was more relieved I stopped rambling than anything. That is when I finally got a decent look at my unfortunate victim.

Her hair was a mixture of lime green and midnight black dye. Although not many people could pull it off, she definitely was one of the lucky few. Her main feature was her eyes, almost drawn on eyebrows and an almost flawless complexion.

"Why are you staring at me? Have you never gone crazy with your hair color before?" She asked.

"Actually, I was just thinking of how I could never pull green hair off as well as you do." I answered. She, almost immediately, began to smirk.

"What are you thinking of?"

She shrugged. "It all depends. You are new here, correct?"

I nodded.

"And you probably do not know anyone else besides me, right?" She kept pressing.

"Well, I really do not even know you, so..." She got a rather conniving look on her face, and then stuck out her hand.

"My name is Gracie, Gracie Williams. I am a Junior over in Drummond High, which is where you will most likely be attending and I am a proud BVB army member."

I reached over and shook her hand, feeling slightly better about her already.

"My name is Cynthia, Cynthia Moore. I am supposed to be a Junior, and I love BVB and Linkin Park."

Gracie nodded. "At least you have decent taste in music."

I bowed, causing her to laugh.

"Well, I have got to go. I need paint for my room, and new crap. Is there any stores that sell band merchandise anywhere? Or is this truly Purgatory?" I added that little tidbit at the end to get her to get I was somewhat joking, but she said, "Oh yeah. There is a whole mall pretty much dedicated to band merchandise around town. It is actually a decent price too."

I fist pumped the air. "I am going to survive this move!"

She started to laugh at my antics, which in turn caused me to double over. After about thirty seconds of straight giggling, we composed ourselves and decided to exchange numbers because, as she put it, she wanted to hang with someone other than the filthy peasant inhabitants of this dreary town.

After saying goodbye, I finally headed into Lowes with my $754.23, which managed to get me two cans of latex grey paint, a can of latex white paint, a new fan and even a lights system with $273.92 left over. I swore that after today, I definitely needed a job to make sure I was not relying on my parents too much.
