Aria's POV
"Go on then, tell me what you did, before I make you!"
I feel a hand place on my arm and pull me back. I flinch with fear until I realise it's only a cop.
I sense my eyes filling with water and then feel a tear trickle down my cheek. I'm probably all red and blotchy as well but I don't care. All I want is the truth.
"I didn't do anything, Ar, I promise."
I can't help notice the look in his eyes that make me wonder if he is being honest with me. I drop my handbag and take a minute to think. My mind is all over the place so I'm unsure what to say.
"Times up."
An officer appears in front of me, pushing me back. Another one behind, leading the way. I cover my face with my hands and run out of the station.
I sit at a picnic bench to gather my thoughts then look up.
Ezra is running towards me, arms open. I have to pinch my hand to check I'm not dreaming because it all seems overwhelming, surreal. I stand up and smooth my skirt down. I have butterflies in my stomach, I haven't felt this in a long time. Ezra is getting closer to me now and I panic of what to do. I take some quick deep breaths then run to meet him, and burst out crying in his arms.
