I totally realize I haven't updated in forever and that you must hate me for it (I would hate me too) but I've been so busy with school, life, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

Not to mention I had a tiny bit of writers block.

You can thank @thewandering because she is the only reason I even updated. I mean,  I updated for all of you lovely fans but she really pushed me to post by repeatedly asking, Are you going to update Secret Rejection anytime soon?

MAKE SURE YOU READ BOOKS BY @thewandering (:

But let's not forget about my stories, too. (;

Here's your update pretty people:

Lizzie and I froze, along with everyone else in our pack. My breath hitched, causing my heart to momentarily stutter. Nate softly swore behind me at the same time Xander yanked against his chains noisily. The pain from the silver chains must have been excruciating. The scent of his burning flesh filled the air and I cringed.
Not too long ago, that stuff had been inside me. Burning me through the inside out. I shuddered at the remembrance of the knife embedded in my side.

Someone made the descent down the stairs, their feet slamming against the ground hard with every step. Suddenly finding the motivation, I grabbed Lizzie's arm and scrambled up from the floor. In the corner of the basement, we usually kept boxes with old things inside. It ranged from cool antiques to old memories that we had no space for upstairs.
Lucky for me, the boxes were piled high and it was the perfecting hiding spot. I darted behind them and Lizzie followed suit just as the footsteps stopped at the end of the stairs. A voice spoke.

"Hello, boys. I hope you're comfortable. Because things are about to get interesting." Boys? I lifted my head and glanced around the basement. Sure enough, every person in here was male. So where were all the females? The rogue continued to speak. "It looks like we got ourselves an intruder." He sniffed the air loudly and I silently cursed myself.

He could smell our scent! He knew we were here!

I was utterly lost. Now what were we suppose to do? Run? Stay hidden? If we jumped out from our hiding spot and ran, they would surely catch us. Lizzie could possibly escape with her demon powers, but I was stuck here and useless. If we stayed hidden, we'd probably appear as fools because the rogue knew we were hiding behind the boxes. This was another situation where I wanted Nate by my side, not chained with silver to a wall only a few feet away.

I was so lost in my thoughts, Lizzie's cry of pain startled me. The rogue had reached behind the boxes and fisted Lizzie's hair in his large, grizzly hand. He was so effing close to me, my heart stopped as I got a view off him. His head was shaved bald and a tattoo peeked out from his shirt sleeve. His skin was pale, but nothing shocked me as much as his eyes. They were such a light gray, they almost appeared white and blended in with his whole eyeball.
The rogue dragged Lizzie out into the opening by her hair and the males from my pack growled furiously at the sight of their Luna being hurt. Xander's growl was louder than the rest and wickedly vicious. He started to struggle frantically against the silver binding him.

Meanwhile, I waited for the rogue to come back for me. To drag me out from behind the boxes, kicking and screaming. I waited, but he didn't turn back around. He kept his attention on Lizzie.
Did he not catch my scent? How the hell did he smell Lizzie and not me? I was relieved and confused on so many levels.
The rogue cackled as he held Lizzie. "We're going to have some fun now."
The rogue shoved Lizzie down and she fell onto her back, clutching her head. Suddenly, the rogue froze and I could tell he was mindlinking someone. Rogues had mindlinks? Who would have thought?
He grumbled something and grabbed Lizzie's arm. He dragged Lizzie up the stairs and at the door, he turned back to the boys. "Say goodbye to your Luna." And then he left, locking the door behind him at the sound of the boys growling in outrage.
