"Hey, Elaina, I think that's right?" A guy says.
"Yes," I nod my head.
"Im Gary Jones, third base coach for the Cubs, I'm very excited about your brother joining us, could you give these to him?" Gary Jones asks.
"Yes, sir, I will the next time I see him," I say.
In my hands is Eli's jerseys. The number sixteen and then our last name, Montclair sued neatly at the top.

I have Eli his jerseys and he was very excited, his first game would be against the Mariners, at Wrigley Field.
Eli wouldn't stop freaking out, he was smiling widely, it was adorable.
"On Friday I'll be playing with the Cubs," he smiles, daydreaming. "I would rather play with the White Sox though."
"Well, sometimes we don't get what we want," I explain, placing my hand gently on his shoulder. "And if you think about it, they were world champions last year, we all know how pissed dad was about that though." He smiles. Dad was so mad, it was unbelievable.

"Thank you, Davis!" My dad screams at the television screen, I roll my eyes, I understand we don't like them, at all. But still, Ben was our cousin.
They got out of the inning after the home run, waiting for the rain delay being over.
After scoring two runs, my dad was upset, ready to scream at the television, I wouldn't let him, we would get kicked out of our apartment.
After the final out and Cubs cheering, all of us were speechless, they won eight to seven against the Indians being down in the series three to one.
He punched the wall, kicking a table, throwing the remote at the television screen, I just watched sacredly, worried he would hit me.

"Im scared to play for them," Eli whispers.
"Who cares about dad? Let him get over it or let him be a crybaby,"
   "Thanks," Eli smiles, hugging me.

It's Friday, Eli was bouncing off the walls Thursday, he showed up and I sat outside waiting for him.
He comes out, he proudly puts on his Cubs hat, carrying his bag. "Good luck."
"Thanks!" He says, walking with Ben.
Once again, Kris is last. "What do you want this time, Kristopher?"
"Nothing, Laina," he smirks, I roll my eyes.
"Every time I come down here, you feel like you need to talk to me," I explain.
"Well, every time I do I do good," he smiles, even his smile is perfect. Stop!
"Hello?" He waved his hand in my face.
"Yes?" I say, jolting out of my daydream.
"You just randomly stared off into space," he says. "Anyways, I hear you're a White Sox fan."
"Yeah, they're not doing so good this year but yeah," I reply.
His face inches towards mine, closer and closer, my breath hitches as his lips are so close to mine. "I can change that so quickly." He walks away, leaving me there, stuck, watching him leave. What the hell just happened?

It was the first inning, Kyle Hendricks was pitching, Eli was behind the plate, he smiled during each pitch, lobbing the ball back. I already knew the Mariners would take advantage of him on the bases, he was young and it was his first ever game.
Mike Freeman is up first, he strikes out, luckily, he throws the all to Kris and a smile is still on his face.
Next is Kyle Seager, I know he was Corey Seager's older brother. He hits the ball up the middle for a single and the small amount of Mariner fans go crazy.
Now, Ben Gamel is up to bat, he has an 0-2 count and I see Kyle start running. Gamel swings and misses and Eli throws the ball to Javier. The umpire signals he's out and everyone goes crazy, I clap happily for him, he was so happy.
Wrigley is screaming and shouting for Eli, he looks at the crowd astonished, his blue eyes trailing over each fan.
First up to bat is Dexter Fowler, I remember meeting him, he had a really nice personality and was really nice. He bunts the ball, successfully.
Now is Kyle Schwarber, im pretty sure that's the one that asked if Eli was a player, yeah, im pretty sure.
Now up is Kris after Kyle's walk, making the pitcher very frustrated.
He looks my way, a soft, gentle smile on his face. I need to stop falling for him
