4 years later...
Elaina
I'm going back to Chicago, it's been four years. With just my luck, when I hooked up with that guy I got pregnant. I now have a four almost five year old daughter named Carson Grace Montclair. I don't know her dad's name, definitely not his last name. "Come on Carson!"
She runs on her little legs to my car, and jumps into her car seat, I buckle her up, handing her out iPad and playing Frozen on it, she loved that movie. "Where we going?"
"We're moving Carson, do you want to meet your uncle Eli I talk about?" I ask, I adjust my mirrors and back out of the driveway.
"Yeah!" She exclaims, luckily she didn't look like her dad, she had brown hair and blue eyes like me, but she did have small freckles planted across her cheeks.
We drive in silence until we get to St. Louis, I go through a drive through and get us something to eat then continue to drive. She eventually falls asleep, luckily. I had already bought us a house, it was near Wrigley.
After a twenty-five hour drive, and me being sleep deprived, we end up at our house. I get her out of her car seat and she stands up tiredly, I was so tired. I just get out a mattress and blankets for the night, placing it on the ground. We both quickly fall asleep, and she of course kicks me while she's sleeping. The next morning, I dress us both, I just brush out my hair and put it in a ponytail. I brush out her hair and braid it. I put on makeup, more than usual.
I drive to Wrigley Field, holding Carson's hand. I still have my pass to get in and they accept it. I walk down the hallways of the clubhouse. "Where are we?"
"Where going to meet your uncle Eli, Carson," I say and we continue walking. I let out a breath, waiting for them to come out of the locker rooms. They all walk by laughing and not knowing Carson and I were standing there. They're all talking when I see Anthony look up at me, opening his mouth and gasping.
"No way," Dexter breathes out looking at Carson and I.
"It can't be her," Javy says.
"Are you, Elaina Montclair?" Addison walks up to me, towering over me. I nod my head.
"Yeah, good luck," I say, Carson shyly hides behind me.
"Eli's already outside, he's warming up Kyle," Jason says. "Since we know you're only here to see him and Kris."
"No I'm not. I wanted to see you guys again, I missed you all," I say.
"Then why did you leave?" Ben asks, oh no.
"I thought I cheated on Kris, even though we weren't together. I moved to Arizona and found out I was pregnant, I'm sorry I left you all," i explain.
"Do your parents know?" Anthony asks and I shake my head.
"Where's Kris?" I ask.
"He's already outside warming up. Ever since you left he hasn't been the same, he never really talks, he always just changes and warms up and then changes and leaves," Anthony explains. "He shut everyone out, so did Eli. We would go to their houses and they would say 'I want to be alone' then close the door." I left Kris and my brother like that, depressed, shutting the whole world out.
I look down at Carson and she's just holding onto my leg and standing behind me. "I can't believe I left all of them like that."
"We need to go, before Joe gets mad," Jon says. They all leave. Carson and I walk to our normal spots and I see two people there. Holland Tucker and Laura Stoffholm. They look so different, Holland dyed her naturally brown hair blonde and Laura let hers that used to only go to her shoulders be now down to her waist. I look down at Holland's hand, a wedding ring.
"Come on Carson, we need to talk to some people," I say and hold her hand. "Holland."
She looks up at me and gasps. "Elaina!"
We hug for a long time then I hug Laura, Carson was once again being shy. "Who's this?"
"She's my daughter," I say and they both look at me with their mouths open. "I hooked up with this guy, I thought I was cheating on Kris and I left for Arizona." They still look at me with their mouths open. "Her name is Carson."
"Hi Carson, I'm Holland," Holland smiles. "I have a son who's your ago too I think." She has a son? "His name is Jacob and he's four."
"So is she," I say. "Well, we should watch the game, i have people to surprise afterwards."
"Okay, and we should totally hang out later," Laura says, I nod my head in agreement.
They won the game seven to zero, they did really good today. After the game, Carson and I stand in the field house, I see Eli walk right past me. "Eli!"
He turns his head around and his eyes turn bright. "Elaina!" He gives me a hug and just hugs me forever.
"I have to be hearing things, I did not just hear Elaina," Kris says. I turn around and our blue eyes meet each other, for the first time in four years.Hey guys! So I added Carson since why not. I hope you guys are enjoying this book!
