I lie in my bed, it's opening day, time goes by so fast.
Kris and I haven't talked since our kiss, and I don't want him to bring it up either. Their first game is against the Philadelphia Phillies.
I drive to Wrigley, people were smiling, kids were laughing, all in Cubs gear.
All the guys are already coming out, I tell them good luck, Kris was last. "So, Laina."
   "Kristopher," I smirk.
"About that kiss, and Andrew," he says, looking down.
"That happened a long time ago," I remind him.
"Do you know how much I think about that kiss, Elaina? It practically swarms my head every time I think about you," Kris says, I blush. He thinks about me.
"Kris you just told me you liked me," I say.
"If it wasn't obvious," he says. "I really like you Elaina."
"Then why don't you ask me out?" I ask, tilting my head.
"Because I'm not ready to commit to a relationship," he says. "Last season when I met you, a few days before me girlfriend of five years, Danielle, broke up with me. I was so sad, I couldn't play correctly, but once I met you, you started a fire in me, to know I can still find love and that there's always someone out there, I don't want to hurt you or get hurt."
I smile. "You should probably get out there."
"Okay," he says, I walk to my seat by Holland and Laura.
"I love this day, opening day," Laura smiles, looking at the field where the players warmed up.
Holland stole some of my popcorn and I frowned at her, I hated when she did that. "Don't."

The game goes smoothly, they won four to zero, Eli was so happy, maybe this year would be better for him.
I tell them good job and Eli high fives me. "You seem to do this every single time."
"Well, I feel like it," I say. "Anyways, I have to go get ready for work tomorrow." I had actually gotten my job as a drama teacher.
"Bye!" They all say, I wave at them, I had new people this quarter, yay.

I go to school and get my students names, I already wasn't excited for one. Clayton Bookout. He was obnoxious and girls always fell for him because of his looks, he would cheat on them on the end, he reminded me of Andrew.
I decide to draw out the seating chart, for at least my seventh hour. I did all of the other classes and looked at my seventh hour, i was most worried about them since I had Clayton.

That's a lot of kids. Twenty-three, usually I just have about sixteen. I go and plan my outfit since I couldn't wear jeans, sadly. I choose a pink dress with a jean jacket over it and I'll just wear some white flats with it, I hated wearing heels, I just wore them to be tall, I'm only five foot four, I can dream to be tall.
I decide to go to bed, I have to wake up at six thirty and drive to school, then I have to set everything up.

My alarm clock wakes me up, I sigh, turning it off. I slide on my outfit slowly. I make a bowl of Frosted Flakes, I eat then go to my bathroom. I brush my teeth, wash my face, out on deodorant, and put my hair in a messy bun.
I put on very light makeup, and then curl my hair. I check the time, seven.
I get in my car and drive to the school, grabbing my coffee and going to my classroom, then writing; Miss. Montclair on the board. I set everything up then check my phone.
