I told Kris, he was happy. Carson was a bit upset, she liked being an only child. The team was happy. Kris is making me talk to my parents and introduce Carson and him. "Please just go, Laina."
"Fine," I sigh, I knock on their door, snow falling on the ground.
My dad answers the door, he had a Cubs shirt on. What? "Hey, dad."
He smiles. He knew about my run away, not about Carson though. "Elaina."
He hugged me tightly. "I missed you so much."
"Who are you?" Carson asks. I hear Kris shush her.
"The more important question is, who are you?" My dad says.
"I'm Carson," she crosses her arms over her chest.
"She's my daughter dad, no, Kris isn't her dad," I say, still confused about the Cubs shirt.
"I can see you're confused about the Cubs shirt. I love them now, and Eli plays for them so I should support them," my dad says. Wow.
"Well dad," I say. "I'm dating Kris."
"Really?" He asks and I nod.
"Be careful with her, she's my youngest daughter," my dad jokes.
"I will," Kris laughs. Carson scrambles out of his arms and jumps in the snow, her face planting in the snow. I laugh at her.
"Elaina?" I hear my mom say. I see her short self run over to me and hug me. "Where have you been, sweetheart?"
"It's complicated," I say.
"Is that Kris Bryant?" My mom asks.
"Mom I'm dating him," I say, Kris waves.
"And who's that girl?" My mom asks Carson who comes up the stairs breathlessly.
"She's your granddaughter, she's not Kris' daughter though," I say. "Her names Carson."
"I need an apple juice!" She yells, she was so crazy now, she reminds me of myself."Elaina! You need to come inside!" My mom shouted.
"I'm coming," I yell, running up the steps. "I need a juice box!"
"Come on, we have plenty," my mom says, I cheer for the White Sox who were playing on TV.
She hands me the apple juice and I drink it quickly. I wipe my mouth and throw it away."Elaina," my dad says, waving his hand in front of my face.
"Sorry," I say and look down.
"Come on in Carson, and we have plenty to drink," my mom says. Carson takes off her boots and runs in, almost slipping.
Kris whispers in my ear. "You need to tell them."
"I know," I sigh.
Carson opens her apple juice and drinks it quickly, throwing it away.
"I need to tell you guys something,"
I say and look at Kris.
"What is it?" My mom asks and I look down, taking in a deep breath.
"I'm pregnant," I say.
"Congratulations!" My mom says and hugs me.
"I knew it!" Carson yells.
"Carson you've known," I say.
"Oh yeah," she says, I roll my eyes at her.
"I'm happy for you," my dad says.
"I'm surprised you're this happy," I say.
"Why?" My mom says.
"I'm dating a Cubs player, maybe," I say.
"We're okay with it," my mom says.We talk with them for a while before Carson is getting hungry and they were having guests over. We pick something up and go home. Carson eats her food then makes room for herself in the middle.
"Iportant people in middle," she says. I roll my eyes.
I loved my life. I had two amazing parents, an amazing caring brother, an amazing boyfriend, a baby on the way, and the best daughter I could ask for, I want nothing else.THE END!
